Benefit events set to be held in July

The South Arkansas Shooting Sports Team is holding two fundraisers for their trip to Pennsylvania for the NRA National Youth Hunter Education Challenge next month.

The first is a cheeseburger lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11.

The meal includes a cheeseburger, chips, drink and dessert.

Deliveries are available for 10 or more lunches.

On Thursday, July 12, the third annual Independence Archery Tournament will be held at Slingin' Arrows.

The entry fee is $15 for youth 14 and under, and $20 for adults.

Registration begins at 5 p.m., and prizes will be awarded in each division.

Grilled hamburger plates will also be available starting at 5 p.m.

The cost is $10 and includes all the fixings with chips, a drink and a Jana Ponder cookie.
