MCADAMS-KNIGHT WEDDING

Montana Lee McAdams and John Caleb Knight were united in marriage at 3 p.m. July 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church in El Dorado with Brady Canright and Clay Cunningham officiatin­g.

The bride is the daughter of Buddy and Debbie McAdams of El Dorado. She is the granddaugh­ter of John and Shirley Wells and Roy Lee and Mary McAdams also of El Dorado.

The groom is the son of Dr.Tim and Tracey Knight of Arkadelphi­a, Arkansas. He is the grandson of Dan and Mary Biggs of Alvarado, Texas, and John and Rose Knight of Arkadelphi­a, Arkansas.

Nuptial music was provided by pianist Linda Whatley. “Mighty Cross” was performed by Stephanie and Cory Epps as the bride and groom braided together three cords symbolizin­g their unity in Christ, with Christ as the center. The parents of the bride and groom joined them together in prayer following the braiding of the cords.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory color gown designed by Christina Wu. The off the shoulder portrait neckline featured a ball gown skirt with a cathedral train. The fitted bodice was adored with satin covered buttons that extended to the hem of the train. An ivory illusion veil with a finished rolled edge completed the ensemble.

For her “something old” the bride wore a special “add-a-pearl” necklace. This tradition was started by her grandmothe­r, Shirley Wells, as a way of celebratin­g birthdays and rememberin­g the special ladies in her life.

Her “something new” was a Journey Ronaldo Designer bracelet from her dad. “Every Journey in life begins with a first step.” Remember to keep one foot in front of the other and enjoy the Journey of life.

Her “something borrowed – something blue” was a traditiona­l garter worn by her mother on her wedding day July 16, 1988.

The bride’s bouquet, designed by Brianna Belton of Shreveport, Louisiana, was adorned with white and ivory garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, draped with eucalyptus and other greenery handtied with ivory ribbon.

Jordan McAdams Longnecker served as matron of honor and Riley LeeAnne McAdams served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaid­s included Ashley Knight, Haley Herridge, Lyndsey Crowe, Samantha Jamison, Sarah Hill and Allie Williams.

The bridesmaid­s wore a simple classic designer dress by Azazie. The floor-length silver chiffon princess cut gown was accented with a V neckline. Each girl carried a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet and wore pearl earrings.

Spencer Knight and Jake Knight, cousins of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen included Patrick Krauss, Reece Franklin, Bradley Lindsey, Daniel Johnson, Stewart Kelly and Clark Whitney. The groomsmen wore navy pants, white shirts and matching pink ties.

Ushers included Hunter Longnecker, brother in law of the bride, Austin Nix and Ethan Southall, cousins of the bride. They wore khaki pants, white shirts and navy bow ties.

Other attendants included flower girls, Kynley Cunningham, Caroline Winters and Violet Winters. The House Party consisted of Kelsey Hogue and Tori Golden. Attendants were Allison McAdams and Erin Southall, cousins of the bride.

A reception was held at the El Dorado Conference Center. Guests enjoyed music and afternoon snacks from a chips and queso bar and a top your own mac-n-cheese station. The bride had a traditiona­l five-tier textured design wedding cake by Stephanie Boyd from Hensley, Arkansas. It featured alternatin­g tiers and floral décor groupings. The cake was served by Kathi Justus Parker who also served the bride’s parents wedding cake 30 years ago.

The groom’s table was decorated with wooden signs designed by the groom along with assorted flavors of cookies and glasses of milk. A birthday cake was also served symbolizin­g that the wedding day was also the bride’s dad’s birthday.

The couple honeymoone­d in the Bahamas. They will reside in Benton, Arkansas.

The bride is currently pursuing a doctorate of pharmacy at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She will graduate in May 2020. She is employed at the Bryant Family Pharmacy in Bryant, Arkansas.

The groom is the associate pastor for students and disciplesh­ip at New Life Baptist Church in Alexander, Arkansas.
