Guy Penrod to perform in El Dorado
Pray About Everything Tour set for Nov. 1
Award winning Christian musician Guy Penrod will be coming to the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium this November.
The Boomtown Opry and First Baptist Church have partnered to bring Penrod to El Dorado, according to a news release. Penrod previously spent 14 years as the lead singer of the Gaither Vocal Group before launching his own solo ministry in 2010. His album, “Hymns,” became the top-selling Southern gospel album of 2012, and his most recent release, “Guy Penrod Live,” was listed at No. 2 on the Contemporary Christian Music Chart when it was released in January 2016.
“We are delighted to host Guy Penrod,” Jonathan Kelly, senior pastor at First Baptist Church El Dorado, said in the release.
The concert will include new renditions of both classic and contemporary songs, such as “Shout to the Lord,” “Revelation Song” and “Victory in Jesus.”
“I wanted to record an album that, contains familiar songs,” Penrod said in the release. “I put
the songs in keys that most everyone can sing along with, especially the men, and arranged them with a simplicity that allows everybody to easily join in. I have a real heart to see men enter into worship because I believe as they worship, their families will worship also. I am excited to travel across the country (and internationally) and perform these songs as audiences sing along.”

Guy Penrod will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium, with doors opening at 6:15 p.m.
Tickets are available at $20 for general admission and $30 for Artist Circle, which are for the blue orchestra section in the auditorium. Those with Artist Circle tickets will get early admittance at 5:30 p.m. and Penrod will come on stage around 5:45 p.m. for a 15-20 minute Q&A session before doors open to the general public. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.
