Kyra Jean Jerry Smith, 44, of El Dorado passed away on Aug. 20, 2018.
Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church with interment following at Liberty Cemetery.
Obituaries HENRY L. MCDOWELL
Henry (Butch) Lynn McDowell, 72, of El Dorado transitioned from this earthly life on Friday, June 8, 2018 at LifeTouch John R. Williamson Hospice House.
Henry was born on Feb. 15, 1946 to the late Nolan C. McDowell and Mattie Dumas McDowell. He was a member of Northwest
Baptist Church. Henry was known by several names, papaw by his beloved grandchildren, daddy by his children and Hop-along by his trucking community. His greatest passions in life were trucking and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Penny Jane McDowell, a brother Rocky McDowell and three sisters Elaine Lowery, Linda Bridges and Beverly McDowell.
He is survived by his four daughters Kandy Smith and Nina Hawkins of El Dorado, Elizabeth Perez of Fordyce and Monica Pitts of Hampton, two brothers Wayne McDowell of El Dorado and Barry McDowell of Strong along with nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Henry’s life will be held at Northwest Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Bro. Wesley Miller and Bro. Sye Duke will officiate. Cremation service provided by Young’s Funeral Directors.
