Jimmy Cargile, 94, of El Dorado, died on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

Obituaries WAYBURN BOLLAND

Wayburn Bolland, age 89, of Warren, AR, died Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at his home. He was born December 8, 1928, in Umpire, AR, a son of the late Ted Bolland and Clara Bedwell Bolland. Wayburn was retired from Potlatch Corporatio­n, a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church and the widower of Martha Josephine Bolland who died December 20, 2014. They were united in marriage May 28, 1948.

Survivors are two sons Judson Bolland and spouse Pat, of Warren, AR, and James Bolland and spouse Heidi, of El Dorado, AR. One daughter Mary Lou Weaver and spouse Jerry, of Warren, AR. Two sisters Judy Selig and spouse John, of Little Rock, AR, and Peggy Rice and spouse Darrel, of Crossett, AR. Eleven grandchild­ren, twenty-two great-grandchild­ren and four great-great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 24, at Good Hope United Methodist Church. Burial is in McKinney Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home. BARBRA J. GIVENS

Barbra Joan Hamilton Smackover, passed away

22, 2018.

Barbra was born in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Clyde Alexander Hamilton and Mary Evelyn Acosta Hamilton on June 8, 1942. She graduated from Bowie High School in 1960. After many years of employment at Phillips Petroleum in El Dorado, she retired early, which led to her parttime employment for Alan Maddox Constructi­on until 2011. She was a member of East Main Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Barbra is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Evelyn.

Barbra is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jesse Elmer Givens; three daughters,

Givens, 76, of Tuesday, August Pam Givens Carroll of Norfolk, VA, Kelly Givens Harbert (Nathan) of Overland Park, KS, and Stacie Givens Allen (Drew) of Bauxite, AR; six grandchild­ren; Sydney McGaugh, Alex McGaugh, Nick Harbert, Hannah Harbert, Will Harbert and Andrew Allen; siblings Donald Hamilton, John Hamilton, Mary Lou Knight, James Hamilton and Marion Hamilton; and her best friend Mary Hawkins.

Pallbearer­s are John Fallon, Kenneth Jerry, Hubert Jolley, Randy Pugh, Benny Thomas and Bennie Williams.

Visitation will be held at Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Benji McCain, Rev. Lawrence Harrison, and Rev. Johnny Parrack officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

CYNTHIA J. KING

Cynthia “Cynt” Jonell Ford-King was born January 22, 1961 in El Dorado to Thomas J. and Dorothy Jean Bradley Ford. After a valiant fight with cancer, she transition­ed peacefully on Saturday,

August 18, 2018 at her home.

She attended Inkster

Public Schools and was a

1979 graduate of Inkster

High in Detroit. She furthered her education at

Wayne County Community

College, where she studied criminal justice. She was a former employee of the Norphlet School District, Arkadelphi­a Human Developmen­t Center, and Gurdon High School.

Survivors are her husband, John A. King; sister, Carla (Harold) McDuffie; brother, Thomas G. (Juana) Ford; her “sister-aunt”, Brenda Philson; her nieces and nephew, Dorothy, D’Metria and Harold, III; special nephew, Marvin Allen; her pet dogs, Roxie and Lola; aunts, Jimmie Barnes, Lula Mae Ford, Evelyn Bradley, Augustine Bradley Watson-Wilson, Pecola (James) Murrell, Florine (JD) George, Pearl Butler and Pearlie Ruth Pierce; and uncles, Billy Jean Ford and Willie (Carolyn) Norman.

Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at St. James Cemetery in Urbana, Arkansas under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, Arkadelphi­a.

CHRIS QUALLS

Chris O’Neil Qualls, 62, of El Dorado, died Saturday, August 11, 2018. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Qualls of El Dorado; sister, Kelli Qualls Heater (Ben) of Bartlett, Tennessee; a niece and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Donal O. Qualls, his brother, Terry Qualls, and his best friend, David Holzem.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in El Dorado. KYRA J. SMITH

Kyra Jean Jerry Smith, 44, was called to her heavenly home on August 20, 2018.

Kyra was born on December 28, 1973 to Clydus and Gene Jerry. She graduated from SACC with an associate’s degree in Nursing. Kyra loved all people which soon made her career her passion, but her greatest joy was her family.

Most of all, her two boys,

Blake and Clint.

She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Gene

Jerry.

She is survived by her sons: Madison Blake Smith and Clinton Garrett Smith. Her mother: Clydus Jerry. Her sister: Kathy Simmons (Tom). Her brothers: Dennis Jerry (Deanna) and Randall Garner. Her neices: Lori Simmons and Sarah Saulsbury (Garrett). Her nephews: Kris Simmons (Kristi), Heath Jerry, and David Slater. Along with numerous great nieces and nephews. And countless friends that she considered family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church followed by Interment at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
