Joe Jones, 68, of Lewisville, formerly of Magolia, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at HealthSout­h Rehab Hospital of Texarkana, Texas.

Jerry C. Prothro, 90 of El Dorado, AR, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Funeral services will be at 3 pm, Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the Chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Bob Inmon officiatin­g. The family will receive friends prior to services from 1 pm to 3 pm. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

Obituaries CHARLES MASSEY

Charles Massey, 75, of Hampton died Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born February 13, 1943 in Danville, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Massey and Reetha Moss Massey; three sisters, Bobbie Holly, Vela Underwood, and Carolyn Carr.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Massey of Hampton; one brother, Jim Massey of Ola; one sister, Gerri Smith of Springfiel­d, MO; one special extended family member, Omar Macias of Magnolia.

Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday at Earnest Cemetery near Hampton with Rev. Mike Miller officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Hampton.

CLARA M. WALTON

Mrs. Clara Mae Walton, 91, of El Dorado, AR. passed away August 26th at the Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado, AR.

She was born August 12, 1927 in Homer, LA to Robert Monk and Mae Dell Kidd-Monk.

She was a member of the Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado, AR.

She was preceded in death by her patents, five children; John Walton, Ivory White, Helen Norman, Henry Walton, Jr, and Lovelle Watkins, a special granddaugh­ter; Tiffany White.

Survivors include; two sons; Rufus White of Detroit, MI and Walter White (Jo Ann) of Eldorado, AR, one daughter; Mrs. Sandra Lark (Victor) of El Dorado, AR, (11) grandchild­ren and (25) great-grandchild­ren

Celebratio­n of Life will be held Friday, August 31st, at

2:30 pm at the Douglas Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in

El Dorado, AR, with burial to follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in El Dorado, AR.

Reed Funeral Home, LLC of Magnolia, AR. Officiatin­g will be Dr. D.L. Hegler.

The body will lie in state Friday from 1:30 until service time at the church.
