Funeral for Joe Jones, age 68, of Lewisville, who passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant AME Church, Columbia County Rd. 29, Magnolia, with Pastor Wilfred Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Rudd Cemetery, Magnolia under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

Roland Thomas Bettis, 82 of El Dorado,
AR passed away Tuesday, September 4,
2018 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Roland was born September 18, 1935 in
Clark County, AR to the union of Algie Thomas
“A.T.” Bettis and Lois Holloway Bettis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Jim Rogers, Ben Rogers,
Dale Bettis, Roy Bettis and Cardinal Bettis, a sister, Merle Banski and a grandson, Dustin Bettis.
Roland was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a founding member of the Faircrest Volunteer Fire Dept. and retired from Ellsworth Motor Freight after many years of service. He was a proud dad and grandpaw.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Taylor Bettis of El Dorado, two daughters, Charlotte Bettis of DeQueen, Karen Graves and husband Doug of Huttig, four sons, Roland Bettis and wife Debbie of Magnolia, Mike Bettis of Camden , Lee Roy McLemore and wife Linda of McNeil, and Tommy Bettis and wife Sheryl of Canada, twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, one brother, Kenny Bettis and wife Sharon of Donaldson, two sisters-in-law, Rene Bettis of Hot Springs, and Mary Jo Taylor of Camden and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at The Pentecostals of El Dorado with Rev. James Fout officiating. Interment will be in the Sparkman Cemetery, Sparkman AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.

ELLIS DAVIS
Ellis Davis was born June 20, 1928, in El Dorado to Willie Davis and Lena Woods. He passed on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was a member of Zion Watch Baptist Church where he served as the President of the Usher Board and later Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as President of the Usher Board.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Davis; step-children; Joanne of El Dorado, Annette, Barbara, and Veronica all of Little Rock; Eshom, Herman, Robert, Rick, and Jaymes Thomas. Ellis Davis had sixteen children, Glynn E. Davis (Gale) and Betty KempBillingly (J.B.) of El Dorado; Scelestine Creer of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carolyn Hunter (Ed) of Arkadelphia, Johnny Davis (Diane) of El Dorado, Edward Davis of Shreveport, Ellis Charles Davis of Smackover, Billy J. Davis of El Dorado, Felicia Davis of Smackover and Antonio Davis (Lakia) of El Dorado; sister, Willie Jean Davis of Milwaukee, WI; 26 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Zion Watch Baptist Church. Interment in Mt. TONY HENRY
Tony Lamar Henry, 58, of El Dorado died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at MCSA. He was born on May 30, 1960 in El Dorado to Wilson and Gladys Coleman Henry. He was a 1978 graduate of El Dorado High School.
He continued his education at SAU in Magnolia. For eight years Tony served his country in the U.S. Army ‘s 609th Tran’s Company reaching the rank of Sgt. He was awarded numerous medals. Tony loved his community and serving many times as an alderman for Ward 3 on the El Dorado City Council and he was serving once again at the time of his death. He retired from Clean Harbors as a supervisor . Tony was a member of First St. James Baptist Church. He was also a member of El Dorado Lodge No. 151.
Survivors are his wife, Vicky Williams Henry of El Dorado; two sons, Antonio Henry and Dre Henry of El Dorado; one daughter, Tonea Henry of Maumelle; three brothers, Fredrick Henry, Jerry Henry and Lawrence Henry all of El Dorado; two sisters, Linda Coleman and Alice Turner both of El Dorado and one grandchild.
Tony’s service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium with the Rev. Roy C. Aaron officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Public viewing will be from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8 until 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
JAMES T. SLADE
James Thomas Slade, Sr, 81, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018 at his home. James was born Aug. 7, 1937 in Bastrop, Louisiana to his parents, the Rev. John E. Slade, Sr. and Alma Townsend Slade. He was a loving father, grandfather and die hard Razorback Fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Winnie
Slade; brothers, Johnny
Slade, Scott Slade, Carley
Slade; sisters, Mildred Murphy and Elizabeth
Slade.
He is survived by two sons,
James Thomas Slade, Jr. and wife, Monica of El Dorado, and Ronald DeWayne Slade and wife, Jo Ellen of Tullas, Louisiana; daughter, Elizabeth Marie Fletcher and husband, Jimmy of Olla, Louisiana; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; host of friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday. Funeral service will be at 11 a.am. Friday at Proctor Funeral Home followed by interment at New Hope Cemetery in Woodberry. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
