The El Dorado/ Union County Minister Fellowship Alliance: Will meet at 6 p.m. Sept. 16 at St. James Baptist Church, 608 Dr. MLK Blvd.
Evergreen Ministries Int’l: Will celebrate their 125th Church Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1510 S. Jackson, El Dorado. Marilyn Frazier is pastor. Guest church will be Pastor Orlanda Smith and Countyline Baptist Church. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
Church of Love: The Daughters of Destiny Outreach Ministry will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the church, 803 E. Main St., El Dorado. This is a non-denominational ministry and all women are invited to attend. The facilitator is Jennifer Hamilton.
The Greater El Dorado District: 12th Annual Love Fest Banquet honoring Supt. Kelly Owens will be held at 5 p.m. today at the St. James Village Outreach Facility, 1104 E. Hillsboro, El Dorado. Speaker will be Elder Rodney Henderson, pastor of Holy Temple in Monticello. A night of honor, fellowship, food and recording artist Pastor Justin Shaw and Sharicia Wright. Tickets are $25/couple, $15/ single, $10/ages 12 and under.
Ebenezer Baptist Church: The Dorrell Family form Tullahoma, Tennessee will perform at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1942 N. Wyatt Drive, El Dorado. They are Christian entertainers that include juggling and illusions in their presentation. They have performed in 11 different countries, the White House, the Olympics and in Branson, Missouri. All are welcome to attend.
Hosanna Baptist Church: Will observe it’s 54th Church Anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 16, at the church. Special guests will be Pastor Odell Carr and New Saint Mary Baptist Church. Lunch will be served.
First United Methodist Church: “Have a New Kid by Friday” Conference to be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 29 in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 201 S. Hill Ave., El Dorado. This conference will show you how to change your child’s attitude, behavior and character in five days. It is free of charge and free childcare is provided. Breakfast and coffee will be served at 8:30 a.m. and lunch will be at noon. Register by Sept. 23 to insure you have a reserved spot for the conference and childcare. Video Bible Study on Wednesdays will begin Sept. 12 at 12:10 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. This is a seven-week study. Bring your own lunch. Shady Grove Baptist Church: Annual Homecoming will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, 1207 N. Highland, El Dorado. Pastor is the Rev. Jimmy Miller and guest pastor is the Rev. Anthony Traylor and New Eastside. Theme is “Homecoming Report.” Revival services will be held Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. nightly. Guest pastor is the Rev. Willie T. Ward of First Baptist Church in Huttig.
P.U.S.H. Ministry: Minister Earlene Burns will deliver the sermon during morning worship services at 11 a.m. Sept. 16 at the church. The public is invited to attend.
Triumph the Church: Homecoming Celebration to be held at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 23 at the church, 821 Union St., El Dorado. The theme is “Coming Home.” Minister Earlene Burns will deliver the homecoming message. The public is invited to attend.
Free Union AME Church: Pastor Appreciation celebrating six years for the Rev. Gayle Williams and Mr. Eddie Williams will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, 3349 Strong Highway, El Dorado. Guest speaker will be Apostle Steven Williams of Greater Unity Baptist Church of Gilmer, Texas.
