Obituaries BETTY J. BAGLEY

Betty J. Bagley, 87, of Parkers Chapel passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock.

Betty was born Jan. 29, 1931 in Three Creeks to the union of Walter Griffith and Eugenie Scarboroug­h Griffith.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband Roy E. Bagley, four brothers and two sisters.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Marrable Hill Chapel. She loved to cook and attend her church and was a devoted mother, grandmothe­r and great grandmothe­r.

Survivors include four daughters,

Jeannie White and husband Larry,

Bonnie Fish and husband Taddy,

Susan Webb and

Vicky Cater, two sons, Eddie Bagley and wife Cheryle, and Jeff Bagley, fifteen grandchild­ren, twenty eight great grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Bailey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Marrable Hill Chapel with Rev. Ben Wasson officiatin­g. Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery in Three Creeks under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.

SHIRLEY J. MCDONALD

Shirley Jean McDonald, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Hospice.

Her first job was at KVOO radio station in Tulsa, OK and that was also where she met the love of her life, Robert Owen McDonald. They married and moved to south Arkansas. They lived in El Dorado, AR for 36 years. They opened and ran The Flower Basket where Shirley made arrangemen­ts, corsages and learned to decorate homes. She continued to do this for others for the rest of her years. They retired and moved to Asheville, NC in 1996. Since moving to Asheville she became involved in their church and community. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church’s prayer group for 22 years and worked on the bereavemen­t committee for many years as well. Shirley was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 50 years where she served as President as well as received the Girl of the Year Award on many occasions. When she and Bob moved to The Crossings at Reynolds Mountain she became the head of the New Resident Ambassador Committee. She remained in that position until one month before her passing.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Bob McDonald, of Asheville, NC; her son Scott McDonald, his wife Tammie, and their daughters, Megan and Sarah, all of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by her daughter Melinda Lunn, her husband Greg, and their children Parker, Gabrielle and Palmer, of Fayettevil­le, AR. Also surviving are two siblings, Lee Kannady and Mary Thomas of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lorraine Kannady of Tulsa, OK; and her sister Ruth Grim of Cushing, OK.

RAYMOND MCMURRIAN

Raymond “Bubba” McMurrian was born in Urbana on July 4, 1942 to Robert Lee, Sr. and Lillie Belle McMurrian. He passed on Sept. 9, 2018 at St. Mary

Mercy Hospital in

Livonia, Michigan.

Bubba was a

1961 graduate of Gardner

High School in

Strong, and a former employee of

Cooper Standard Automotive Inc. He was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church #2 in Urbana, and a member of Early View Masonic Lodge #181.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn Ruth McMurrian; brothers, Waymon McMurrian and Robert McMurrian, Jr.

He leaves to celebrate his memories: son, Raymond Delane McMurrian of Detroit, Michigan; daughters, Tammy Folarin of Macomb, Michigan; Lynn Hare of Detroit, Michigan; Yawanda T. Aiken of Detroit, Michigan; Tanekia R. Henry of El Dorado; and Lisa Baxter of Dallas, Texas.

Public visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 from noon until 5 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Urbana with Pastor Billy Artis, eulogist. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Urbana, Arkansas under the direction of Sims Mortuary. JIMMIE B. NEELY

Jimmie B. Neely, 90, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born April 11, 1928 to Elbert W. and Ruthie Nalls Neely in Smackover, AR.

He retired from

Long’s Sheet Metal after nearly 50 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Jimmie was a founding member of Neely Deer Club and an avid deer, turkey hunter and also enjoyed fishing with his family.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and ten brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Janette Neely of El Dorado; daughter, Teresa Neely of Hot Springs Village, AR; three sons, Michael Neely (Norma), Larry Neely (Lori), Richard Neely (Angela) all of El Dorado; nine grandchild­ren; and ten great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be held from 5:007:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Young’s.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Parkers Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Bob Inmon officiatin­g.
