Admiration for the migrating hummingbirds

-

Iam sorry I have been away but I am back now! Life was a bit crazy the last few weeks but all is well.

I sat outside Thursday morning on my porch and enjoyed the aroma of ripe persimmons floating in the cool breeze while my hummingbirds swarmed my feeders to prepare for their migration.

I figure I will see more new ones once they start passing through heading south for the winter.

If you have a hummingbird feeder, please leave them up for the rest of October.

This will give the birds passing through a place to stop to refuel and rest.

You may see birds until the first of November.

I have seven that visit all the time.

I expect to see some passing through once a few cold blasts of air hit the northern states.

They knock so many down and the deer appreciate it very much!

I can't wait for cold weather and the leaves to fall.

I have been pretty busy lately and I'm sorry I couldn't write much the last two months.

My dad found out he had to have surgery on his right arm to repair a torn tricep tendon.

He is recovering nicely and hopes to be healed right before modern gun season opens.

I am also proud to announce that our family will be growing.

We are blessed to announce that I will have
