Notice of passing COLLEEN RAINWATER

Colleen Rainwater, 82, of El Dorado passed away on Oct. 1, 2018 at Courtyard Health and Rehabilita­tion.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 at Parkers Chapel Cemetery.

Services for William Clark Southmayd (Bill), 91, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, will be held at First Presbyteri­an Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary, followed by a reception. Obituaries WANDA HOGUE

Wanda Nell Hogue, 79, of El Dorado, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born Dec. 25, 1938, to George W. and Nell D. Mehaffey Manasco in Gurdon.

She worked as a pharmacy technician for Hall Drugs and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Joe Hogue; brother, Max Manasco; and two grandsons, Jason Hogue, and Ray T. Fairris, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter; Lori Fairris (Ray) of El Dorado; son, Doug Hogue of El Dorado; and granddaugh­ter, Rachel Thompson (Justin) of Junction City.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 at Young’s.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Travis Langley officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorial may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 700 W. 8th St., El Dorado, AR 71730.

ERNEST SHIRLEY

Ernest “Milt” Shirley, 82, of Fernandina Beach, Almelia Island, Florida passed away on Sept. 24, 2018.

He was born in Ruston, Louisiana, and was adopted by the late Ernest Middleton and Eva Henderson Shirley. While attending college at Louisiana PolyTechni­cal he met and married the former Janell “Sutsy” Hyde of El Dorado. Janell is the sister of Janis Hyde Camp.

Together they lived all over the south moving to Fernandina Beach so their son could attend Florida School for Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine. Milt was employed as a chemist for Rayonier. He was active in politics serving as city commission­er, on Nassau County School Board and as mayor.

Milt was passionate about art. His original paintings hang in his home and in many other homes and businesses throughout the world.

Two of his favorite things were going to a restaurant with soft piano music and dancing with his beloved “Sutsy.”

He leaves behind his wife of 62 years; his children, Paul William Shirley of Fernandina Beach, daughter Lola Shirley Waldrup (Rodney) of Key Largo, Florida; grandson, Landin Fredrick Waldrup of Colorado; adopted brother, Henry Shirley; adopted daughter, Mignon Sangree Eteheverry and many nieces and nephews.
