Speaker's Circuit

Laura Rogers, regional education coordinator with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Education Division, will be the speaker when the Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at Buffet Palace restaurant in front of Walmart.

She will also be the speaker when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.

In her job, Rogers provides educational programs about Arkansas’s wildlife and conservation in 14 counties in Southeast Arkansas.

She received her bachelor’s degree in management and master’s degree in secondary education from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia. She was executive director of the El Dorado Council of Camp Fire, prior to joining AGFC in 2001. She currently serves on the boards of The DeSoto Area Council of Boy Scouts, South Arkansas Community College Foundation and the South Arkansas Arboretum.

Rogers lives in El Dorado with her husband, Jeff.

Buddy McAdams will be the speaker when the Civitan Club meets at noon Thursday at Antigua’s restaurant.

McAdams was born in El Dorado and attended El Dorado schools. After high school he attended Louisiana Tech in Ruston, Louisiana.

McAdams is the co-owner of Mac’s Tree Service and co-owner of Diversified Construction and Design. He is currently developing several downtown buildings into apartments and store buildings, and will share his current progress.

He is married to Debbie and they have three daughters. They are members of First Baptist church.
