EULA M. COOK

Eula Mae Cook was born Sept. 12, 1936 in Summerfiel­d, Louisiana to Willie B. Davis Coggins and Eddie D. Levingston. She departed her life Oct. 6, 2018 at Oakridge Nursing Home.

She was a member of First Baptist Church Cordell where she served in the Choir and the WMU. She was a former employee of Dixie Maintenanc­e, Medical Center of South Arkansas and the late J. S. BeeBe.

She is preceded in death by her father; sisters, Eva Nell Buggs and Gloria Coggins Tatum; brothers, James Frazier and John Levingston.

She is survived by her mother, Willie Bell Coggins; sons, Mickey Murphy, Billy Murphy Jr., Patrick Murphy, Kenneth Murphy and Cedric Cook all of El Dorado; sisters, Annie Moore of El Dorado, Carolyn Morris of El Dorado, Willie Davis of El Dorado; brothers, Willie Coggins and Woodrow Coggins both of El Dorado.

Public visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 and the family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church Cordell. Interment will be at Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. KATHRYN J. DAVIS

Kathryn Janet Davis, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmothe­r, joined her Savior while in Denison, Texas on Monday Oct. 8, 2018 at the age of 80 years and 20 days. She was born in Kiowa, Oklahoma to John Derry Berry and Kate (Perry) Derryberry on Sunday, Sept. 18, 1938. Kathryn married the love of her life Emmet “Bud” Davis in Durant, Oklahoma on Nov. 30, 1957.

Kathryn was an active member of the Fairview Baptist Church and former member of the Parkview Baptist Church in El Dorado, she treasured her church families. Kathryn cherished her times outside working in her yard and spending time with Bud while they drove around in their truck. Her favorite pastime was anytime spent with her precious grandchild­ren.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband Bud Davis of the home; son, Dean Davis and wife Diana of Tacoma, Washington; grandchild­ren, Rowan Davis of Tacoma, Washington and Riley Davis of Tacoma, Washington; sister, Joan Henslee of Denison, Texas; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, John and Kate Derryberry; son, Dale Davis; brothers, Maxie and Wayne Derry Berry; and sisters, Ina Dunn, Ava Gann, and Mozelle Walker.

Family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be held at 10 a.m. on Oct. 13 at the Fairview Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma with Bro. Bill Ledbetter officiatin­g. Burial will follow at the Kemp Cemetery in Kemp with the Deacon’s of her church, Dennis Bragg, David Bullard, David Russell, Stephen Glenn, Joey Gooch, and Smitty Nabors as pallbearer­s, and Baker Ray as an honorary pallbearer.

CHRISTINA E. MASSEY

Christina E. Massey, 44, departed this life at 6:21 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018 at her house surrounded by her family and friends. She was born Nov. 4, 1973 in El Dorado to Tommy and Pat Goree Massey of Strong.

She is preceded in death by her father, her grandparen­ts, Cecil and

Eunice Massey and Louis and

Willie Mae Goree and numerous uncles and aunts.

She is survived by her mother, three brothers, Bo and Timmy Massey of Strong and Jimmy Davis of Johnsville, three sisters, Charlie Massey (David Mitcham) and Shelia Rogers (Tony) of Strong and Betty Ann Williams (Hank) of Huttig, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be at her home, 3387 Pigeon Hill Rd., Thursday, Oct. 11 beginning at noon until service time Friday, October 12. Service will be at Green Grove Chapel, Friday Oct. 12 at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Service will be officiated by Bro. Rickey Smith with burial at Green Grove Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearer­s are Bo Massey, Corey Massey, Ricky Davis Jr., Justin McFall, Brian Sawyer, and Montana Flint. Honorary Pallbearer­s Jake Bennett, Nick Pace, Joseph Flint and Ayden Rogers.
