Lisa Jolley-Williams was sentenced to five years probation Tuesday in the first division of the Circuit Court of Union County.

Williams was arrested in late September on charges of second-degree domestic battery, second-degree battery, first-degree criminal mischief and a violation of a no contact order.

According to a court documents, on September 25, Williams’ estranged husband returned home from work and was heading upstairs in his home when he heard Williams calling his name. He then saw her trying to enter his home through a window.

Williams’ husband said he was trying to bar her entry when she stabbed him in the leg. A woman at his home was woken up at the sound of the struggle and came to assist him. The court documents say that then, Williams stabbed the woman in the hand, before following her outside and stabbing her again in the side as well as cutting her face and neck.

Williams’ husband said after the attack, she left, laughing. The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment while several officers with the Union County Sheriff’s Office processed the crime scene, where they located blood drops and pools as well as property damage caused by spray paint being sprayed on windows, an air conditioning unit and a vehicle.

In an interview with police, Williams said her husband had called and invited her to his residence after fighting with the other woman and being threatened by that other woman with a knife. Officers checked her phone records, finding that the only call in her log at the time she said her husband called her was a call from her to her husband.

Williams then said she went to his house to get her belongings, at which point she saw the other woman, who she said had a knife. She said she seized the knife from the other woman and did not realize she had cut her. Officers did not observe any wounds on Williams that were consistent with her grabbing a knife from someone else.

In Tuesday’s hearing, Williams pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic battery, criminal mischief and violation of a protection order. She is a first offender and will serve five years of probation. She will also be expected to pay court costs and fees.
