To the Editor,

I chose to write this paper because I am a firm believer of sharing good experiences, as well as the bad ones.

Sudden chest pain can be an alarming feeling in which you’re caught up in trying to go about your day while thinking the worst is about to happen. I found myself in this situation several days ago. I was right by the Medical Center of South Arkansas, so I decided to go in and have my blood pressure checked. I was told that I would be staying the night so several tests could be run because it was extremely elevated.

I was a little alarmed at how many tests were going to be run, how many times I would have to face a needle and the threat of a chemical stress test. I have to say that I was in great care thanks to the staff and everybody I saw. There is no way I could mention everybody that came in, but some names that I remember were: Ms. Vicki, Mary-Ann Franklin, Maddie Pope, Koko Donahue, housekeeping staff, the chaplain, the entire nuclear team and Dr. Nwude. They were eager to answer my questions and if they didn’t know the answer, they got me somebody that did.

I can only speak on my experience, but I was a real satisfied patient with the level of care, positive attitudes and level of concern displayed at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
