El Dorado ends season with victory

Destiny Davis scored 18 points, as El Dorado’s freshman girls basketball team wrapped up its season with a 44-24 win over Texarkana at Wildcat Arena Monday.

The Lady Wildcats, who finished the season with a 14-1 record, led 5-3 at the end of the first quarter before extending their lead to 16-9 at intermission.

El Dorado’s lead grew to 31-16 at the end of the third quarter.

In addition to Davis, Kalese Moseby was in double figures with 10 points.

Carshaila Rozier and Kyra Harris added four points each for El Dorado.

BARTON CAPS SEASON WITH WIN

Barton’s eighth-grade girls basketball team capped its season with a 34-8 win over Texarkana Monday.

Charalyn Rester and Marleigh Bonsall had eight points apiece for the Lady Wildkittens, who finished the season with a 16-1 record.

Lindsey Lockhart added seven points for Barton.

LADY WILDKITTENS ROLL IN FINALE

Rekiyah Howard led a

balanced attack with six points, as Barton’s seventh-grade girls basketball team rolled to a 21-3 win over Texarkana in their season finale Monday.

London Ingram and Breyonia Jamerson added four points apiece for the Lady Wildkittens, who finished the year with a 12-1 record.
