Obituaries SHIRLEY A. ANDREWS
Shirley Ann Andrews, 77, of El Dorado, AR passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones Saturday, March 23, 2019.
She was born February 11, 1942 in Village, AR to James Preston Cheatham and Ivy Ethel Cheatham. She was a homemaker and a member of El Dorado Missionary
Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and comical one liners. Also, her wonderful southern cooking. She loved her family fiercely, and was loved fiercely in return.
Preceding her in death are her parents and sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Wayne Evans.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Robert J. Andrews; daughters Gina Ann Webb (Michael) of El Dorado, AR and Lisa A. Bennett (James) of El Dorado, AR; brother J.W. Cheatham (Nancy); sister Dorothy Orren; brother Tony Cheatham; grandsons Seth Bennett (Alex) and Sam Bennett; granddaughters Amy Yearry (Brent), Erin Calloway (Scott) and Sally Bennett. Her great grandchildren are Lennon, Miles, Norah and Rosalie.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Young’s.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Young’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

VIRGINIA SELF
Virginia “Wheezer” Self, 92, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.
She was born July 31, 1926 in Gurdon, Arkansas to John Newton Clark and Mattie Alma Roberson Clark. She worked at the Red Cross, and at Gathright’s Dress Shop, and worked as a coordinator for the Section 8 Housing Program.
Preceding her in death are her parents; loving husband, Walter “Dub” Burnett Self; son, William David Self; grandson, Michael Self; and daughter-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Self.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucy Withrow (Greg) and their children, Erin Bailey (Jonathan), Chris Biggers (Becky), Chelsea Murphy (Taylor), and Morgan Withrow; Granddaughter, Sundi King (Brian), Grandson, Brock Self ,and Granddaughter in law Ginger Self ; her great-grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Marigrace, Brent, Tyler, Alyeah, Connor, Grace, Remi, Caroline, Colton, Beckett, and Gavin; and daughter-in-law, Jo Self.
The family would also like to thank Timberlane Health and Rehab for their loving care and support for the time she resided with them.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Young’s Funeral Directors.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Mark United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
