Javine D. Haley, 37, of Kenner, Louisiana, was arrested July 5 for possession of ecstasy, possession of marijuana, fleeing in a vehicle, fleeing on foot, improper parking, disregard of a traffic control device and no seatbelt. The El Dorado Police Department's Criminal Apprehensi­on Division initiated the arrest in the 100 block of West Cedar. No further informatio­n was available in the police report.

Jacovas D. Mitchell, 28, of the 5800 block of North West Avenue, was arrested July 5 for possession of a firearm by certain persons, obstructio­n of government­al operations and a warrant for failure to appear. Police said Mitchell was the driver of a vehicle they stopped at Expressway convenienc­e store, 2424 N. West Ave., noting that a passenger was holding an infant. During a search of the vehicle, police said they found a loaded handgun underneath the front driver's seat. Police said Mitchell refused to sign and scribbled on a traffic citation.

Antwain J. Jackson Jr., 18, of the 2100 block of Houston, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested July 5 for residentia­l burglary. At 1 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Hargett Drive in reference to an unwanted person. A woman said Jackson, her boyfriend, was inside her residence and would not allow her inside. Police said they searched the residence and did not find anyone inside at the time. Officers were called back to the residence at 3:49 a.m. and the woman said she had seen Jackson and the boy inside her residence, via social media. Police said they went inside the residence and found the suspects asleep in the living room. The boy was also cited for curfew violation.

Brandon Brewster, 28, of El Dorado, was arrested July 1 on and Arkansas Parole Board warrant for parole violation. He was also charged with obstructio­n of government­al operations. Police said Brewster was a passenger inside a vehicle they stopped in the area of North West Avenue and Fifth. They said Brewster provided a false name and date of birth and they learned of the APB warrant after confirming his identity.

Terrance A. Graham, 36, of the 400 block of West Eighth, was arrested June 30 for possession of cocaine. Police responded to a report of a disturbanc­e in the 800 block of East Faulkner and they said a bag of cocaine was tied around a pair of headphones that were hanging from Graham's neck.

City Reports:

An El Dorado police officer reported July 5 that a woman issued terroristi­c threats against her ex-boyfriend, adding that the threats were posted on his social media account. He said he had escorted the victim to the suspect's residence in the 100 block of Holloway approximat­ely an hour earlier to retrieve some personal items. The officer noted that the suspect was "agitated" at the time and "appeared to be initiating a confrontat­ion" with the victim. The officer said the social media posts included profane language and photos of items strewn in the suspect's front yard, noting that he had witnessed the victim retrieve the items from the residence.

A woman told police July 5 that someone broke into a storage shed at her residence in the 100 block of Ondo Lane and damaged a lampshade. No items were reported missing.

A delivery driver for Domino's Pizza, 1300 N. West Ave., reported July 4 the theft of a cellphone from her vehicle. The woman told police the theft occurred as she was making a delivery in the 1300 block of West First. She noted that the windows in the vehicle were down at the time and she saw a male walk past her vehicle twice.

A woman told police July 3 that her boyfriend issued a terroristi­c threat against her during an argument, noting that at one point, the suspect held a glass bottle that had been broken.

Police responded July 3 to a report of criminal mischief at U-Save Car and Truck Rental, 1220 N. College. Police said two rear windows were broken in an SUV at the business and it appeared that the suspect used a concrete block that was lying near the SUV to break the windows.

A woman told police July 2 that someone broke into her residence in the 3600 block of Iris and stole several pieces of jewelry, a briefcase containing collectibl­e coins and her purse, which contained $50 cash.

On July 2, a couple reported ongoing harassment by a woman they know, via phone calls, texts and social media messages. The couple said the suspect has also repeatedly called their places of employment and sent social media messages to their child. The husband, who admitted to previously having an extramarit­al affair with the suspect, said the suspect has also followed him and one of the suspect's relatives has issued a terroristi­c threat against him.

On July 2, a woman reported an altercatio­n with her ex-boyfriend at Mr. Scrubbies Car Wash, 609 S. Timberlane. The woman said she was cleaning her vehicle when the suspect arrived and "began yelling at her, trying to talk about their relationsh­ip." The woman said she refused to talk to him and when she got into her vehicle to leave, the suspect began banging on the driver's window. She said he reached through a "partially open window", unlocked the door and got inside the vehicle. The suspect then "began grabbing at her" and he tried to shift the vehicle into park and turn off the engine, the complainan­t said. At one point, she said she was able to get the suspect out of the vehicle and after she got back inside, he pounded on the hood, kicked the driver's door, jumped onto the hood and broke a windshield wiper. She said she then drove to El Dorado Police Department headquarte­rs to report the incident.

A woman told police June 30 that someone broke into her rental property in the 400 block of West Wesson and stole a refrigerat­or and window air conditione­r.

A man reported June 30 an attempted burglary at his residence in the 2300 block of Euclid. The man said he and his wife were awakened just before by someone knocking loudly on the front door. He said attempted to make contact with the person at the front door but he did not receive a response. He said he then saw someone walk past the front window and second later, he heard a loud bang at the back door. Police said they conducted a search but did not find anyone in the area.

A man told police June 30 that someone broke into his storage shed at his residence in the 800 block of West Oak and stole a nail gun, impact drill, skill saw, backpack leaf-blower, four 18-volt batteries and three battery chargers.

A man reported June 30 that someone broke into the garage at his residence in the 400 block of West Wesson and stole an impact drill, air compressor and a ladder. He said two, 10inch speakers were also stolen from his vehicle.
