Reminder of Services MICHAEL EARNEST STRICKLAND

Michael Earnest Strickland, 71, of El Dorado, passed away, Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Young’s Chapel with Rev. Brian Trostle and Bishop George Callaway officiatin­g. Full military honors will be conducted at Craig Cemetery with interment under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Juanita Mosley Sain Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at the age of 90 in El Dorado, Arkansas. LaVonne "Juanita" was born February 16, 1929, in the Valley Community,

Drew County, Arkansas, to Arthur and Lula

(Hales) Jolley. She married William Clyde Mosley

Jain 1948. They had two daughters, Dawn

Morphis (Tommy) and

Kerri Mosley (Kelly) and five grandchild­ren, Benjamin, Elizabeth, and Robert Morphis, Martin Davis, and James Clark. Bill preceded her in death in 1985.

Juanita taught sixth grade in McGehee, Arkansas, for thirty years touching hundreds of lives with her caring. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church. Especially dear to her was the Golden Oldies. Gardening and flowers were a particular passion of hers.

She remained close to surviving nieces and nephews of her three older brothers, Reginald, Clifton, and Winfred, Jo Calhoun (Gerald), Tim Jolley (Phyllis), Pam Beard (Mike), Greg Berryman (Vicky), Regina McGinn, Guen Campbell (Ritch), Alanna Johnson, and Alan McGinn.

Juanita’s second husband was Frank Sain of McGehee, Arkansas, who also preceded her in death.

Juanita is survived by husband Harlen Brown of El Dorado, Arkansas. When she married Harlen she joined a loving family, daughters, Jina Schubert (Paul), Jeri Thomas (Jeff), sons, Garrett Armstrong (preceded in death) and Harlen “Bubba” Brown, grandchild­ren Daniel Armstrong, Lisa Purkey (Jon), Kristi Schubert (Mike), Josh Thomas (Tina), Jon Thomas (Taylor), Greg Schubert (Rhiannon), and Eric Schubert, greatgrand­children, D.J. Armstrong, Ryker Armstrong, Jonathan, Jaxon, and Brixton Purkey, Carter Braswell, Haidyn and Aubrey Thomas, and Lane Thomas.

Wife, mother, Gingy, aunt, friend, teacher, Juanita shall be missed by all.

No service is planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 207 N. 3rd St., McGehee, Arkansas 71654.

LULA MAE BROWN

Lula Mae Brown, the daughter of O.L Brown and Lillie Mae Brown Harper was born January 5, 1955 in El Dorado, Ar. On January 1, 1979, she married Norris Lee Ford and to this union three children were born, Keith, Nakaca, and Akeem.

On July 27, 2019 she transition­ed from this earthly life at Lifetouch

Hospice. She was preceded in death by her father and sisters O.L

Survivors include her children Keith Ford, Nakaca Ford (Crystal), Akeem Ford, grandchild­ren Kyair Ford, Ashton Ford, Treyshawn Ford, London Ford, and Payton Ford. Great grandchild­ren. Mother Lillie Mae Harper Brown. Sisters Cynthia Pumphrey, Vertie Mayweather (John), Mary Mayweather, Angela Williams (Sankeno), Lavonya Brown, Nakeysha Brown, and Vera Frazier. Brothers O.L Brown, James Brown, Henry Brown (Kristy). A host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Public Visitation 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services 11:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2019 at First St. James Baptist Church. Interment will be at Arlington cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
