Local students graduate, receive college honors
College students from Union County recently graduated or received academic honors, from various colleges and universities.
The following local students completed a degree at their respective colleges including, Harding University and Southern Arkansas University.
Harding University
The following local residents were among the more than 300 graduates who received a diploma at Harding's fall commencement ceremony Dec. 14, 2019.

South Arkansas University
A total of 595 students were honored with undergraduate and graduate degrees at Southern Arkansas University's Fall Commencement ceremonies on Dec. 13, 2019.

Arkansas Tech
Arkansas Tech announced its dean's list for undergraduate students for the fall 2019 semester last month. Students must achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher and complete at least 12 hours of college-level coursework to be named to the dean's list.

UCA recently announced its dean's list and presidential scholars for the fall 2019 semester. Recognition on the dean's list or as a presidential scholar is based on grades earned during each semester of the regular academic year.
Eligibility on the dean's list requires at least a 3.5 GPA with a minimum course load of 12 credit hours. Students must achieve a 4.0 GPA with a minimum course load of 12 credit hours to qualify for recognition as a presidential scholar.
