REBA YORK BURSON

Reba York Burson, 99, of Strong, AR passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado, AR

Reba was born May 2, 1920 in

Greenway, AR to the union of James

Wesley York and Etta Mae Bruce York.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, John

Lewis Burson, five brothers and five sisters.

Reba was a charter member of Union

Methodist Protestant Church, and loved to fish and garden. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmothe­r. Reba was a precious Christian lady and a good neighbor and friend.

Survivors include her three daughters,

Barbara Burson, Bonnie Bennett and husband Braudice, and Becky Ray and husband Jimmy, one son, Johnny Burson and wife Lawanda, seven grandchild­ren, two step grandchild­ren, fourteen great grandchild­ren, two step great grandchild­ren and thirteen great great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Union Protestant Methodist Church in Strong, AR

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Union Protestant Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Ray Smith officiatin­g. Interment will be in the Teel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.

BILLY PRICE GOBER

Billy Price Gober, 81, of El Dorado passed away on March 5, 2020. He was born in Monticello, Arkansas on January 18, 1939 to the late Wade, Sr. and Jimmie Lou Emma Price Gober.

He served proudly in the United States Army as a Sergeant in the U.S. 1st BN 30th Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division stationed in Schwienfur­t, Germany. He worked for Kroger, Piggly Wiggly and

Gober Grocery in Monticello, Arkansas and Colonial Baking of El Dorado for nine years. He worked for 21 years for

EZ-Mart, and for 23 years at Sav-A-Stop in Amarillo, Texas. He enjoyed his work so much he would call it his hobby.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Ruby, Helen, Wade Jr., James, and Curt Gober; and brother-in-law

Charles Savage.

Bill leaves behind the love of his life and beautiful wife of over 60 years, Marilyn

(Gunn) Gober; his children Kimberly

Gober and Jason Gober (Johnnye); his grandchild­ren Bayley Leanna Gober, Ila Grace Hyams, Brooke Lynne Gober, and Jackson Price Hyams; his siblings Hershel Gober of Palm Coast, Florida and Peggy Savage of Monticello; as well as, many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3209 West Hillsboro Street, El Dorado, Arkansas from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2020, with funeral services to begin at 12:00 PM.

ANTHONY MARCUS McENTIRE

Anthony was born on June 14, 2005, in Camden, Arkansas to Misty Foster and John Allen McEntire. Anthony loved playing his PlayStatio­n 4 Fortnite, Skateboard­ing, and spending time with his brothers and friends. Anthony will be greatly missed by a great many people. He had a smile that would light up a room and a sweet spirit.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Misty and John Allen., brothers,

Settles, and Jordan McEntire. Sisters

Jessie McEntire, and Jenna McEntire.

Anthony was preceded in death by his

Services to celebrate the life of Anthony Marcus McEntire will be Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Victory Church in El Dorado, Arkansas at 2:30 p.m., interment at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary. Sign the guestbook at simsmortua­ry.com.

Pallbearer­s are Wade Hilton, Joseph Sanchez, Kenneth Arnold Sr., Justin Rosson, Cody Bryant, and Everett Hegler. Honorary Pallbearer­s will be the 9th grade class of El Dorado High school.

LAVERNE WARE

Laverne Ware, 81, of El Dorado, AR died on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Heritage Nursing Home in Haynesvill­e, LA.

Born on October 2, 1938 in Magnolia,

AR; she was the daughter of C.T. Taylor and Bonnie Attaway Taylor. A homemaker, Laverne was an active member of Three Creeks Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Golden Agers.

She enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing cards and dominoes on Thursday nights with friends.

Laverne was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Dolas

Ware; her parents, and a brother,

Gerald Taylor.

Survivors are a son Ricky Ware (Dana) of El Dorado; a daughter Rhonda Cates

(Joel) of El Dorado; a sister Yvonne

Owens of Shreveport; along with grandchild­ren Bryce Taylor Ware, Caleb Jack Ware, Breanna Michelle Braswell (Jonathan) and Kristen Alyse Davis (Steven); and great grandson, Connor Braswell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Young’s.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm, Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Inmon officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Three Creeks Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
