Graduating Class of 2020
ter of Brandy Primm of El Dorado and Patrick Primm of Bryant, has been awarded the Ouachita Merit Scholarship ($54,000), the Red and Gray Scholarship ($16,000), the Southern Arkansas University Achievement Award ($8,000), the Louisiana Tech University Outstanding Student and Bulldog scholarships ($54,196), a Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarship ($500) and the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship ($14,000). She is a four-year Trojan cheerleader and received the Trojan Cheer Award. She is also an Honors Student and received the Art 1 Award. She plans to attend Henderson State University to study elementary education and will continue her cheer career at the collegiate level.
Spencer Dunn, son of Todd and Rae Ann Dunn of El Dorado, has been awarded the Southern Arkansas University Blue and Gold scholarship ($26,400), the Louisiana Tech Outstanding Student scholarship ($8,000), the Ouachita Baptist University Merit Scholarship ($40,000), the Razorback Connection Scholarship ($3,000) and the Henderson State Red and Gray scholarship ($16,000). He is a member of Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America. He will graduate with honors and college credit, including from Advanced Placement classes. He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to study computer science.
Summer Mathis, daughter
of Amanda Lum of El Dorado, participates in art and is a member of the PCHS softball teams. She counts graduating during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic among her high school accomplishments. She plans to become an entrepreneur or a tattoo artist upon graduating.
Tyler Killingsworth,
son of Bobbie and Chris Killingsworth of El Dorado, has been awarded the Leadership Scholarship ($2,000), the Corrie Gross Bechtelheimer scholarship ($1,000) the Arkansas Academic Scholarship ($5,000) and a Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarship ($500). He’s a member of Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America and Student Council and the football, basketball, baseball and cross country teams. He will graduate with honors and has won awards for making history in football and for his playing basketball and baseball. He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to study kinesiology.
Tyler Martin, son of Michael and Jeni Martin of Strong, has been awarded the Southern Arkansas University Blue and Gold scholarship, along with scholarships from the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation and the Arkansas Challenge scholarship program. He participates in Beta Club, Parkers Chapel’s Gifted and Talented program, has been a Student Council representative from ninth through 12th grade, including as the Senior Class Treasurer, plays on the
Parkers Chapel football and baseball teams and has been a student aide. He has also volunteered for Go Red for Women. He was recognized in 2018 as All-Conference Baseball, All-State Tournament, All-Area Baseball Team Selection and participated in the 2018 State Baseball Championship, which PC won. In 2019, he was recognized as AllConference Baseball again, as well as All-Conference Football and was an AllArea Football Defensive Team Selection. He plans to attend SAU to study entrepreneurial finance and eventually complete his MBA.
Yasmine Malone, daughter of Danielle and Dameyon Green of Strong, is a member of Beta Club and plays with the PCHS Band. She is also on the basketball and softball teams. She plans to attend Southern Arkansas University to study biology, pre-veterinary studies or pre-medical studies before attending veterinarian school.
Zariah Modica, daughter of Jose Modica and Tyronda Richard of El Dorado, has been awarded the Louisiana Tech Outstanding Student scholarship ($2,500) and the Louisiana Tech Bulldog scholarship ($54,196 over four years). She is a member of Beta Club and Student Council. She plans to attend Louisiana Tech University to study early childhood development with minors in psychology and business.
