Three pitchers collaborated on a two-hitter, and the El Dorado Oilers broke open a close game with a five-run fifth en route to a 9-1 win over the Ashley County Timber Rattlers Thursday in their opening game at the Crossett Tournament.

Starter Josh Saulsbury was the winning pitcher after working two scoreless frames.

He walked two and struck out one while allowing one hit.

Jacob Eubanks allowed an unearned run in three innings in relief. He walked two, struck out five and didn't allow any hits.

Baylor Brumley closed out the Timber Rattlers with a scoreless frame. He walked two, allowed one hit and didn't record any strikeouts.

The game ended with the Oilers (5-2) batting in the sixth due to the time limit being reached.

The Oilers answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning before breaking the game open in the fifth.

With the bases reloaded, Braden Doherty delivered a single to left, scoring Brumley to make it 5-1.

Tyler Johnson picked up a painful RBI by getting hit by a pitch to bring home Saulsbury to push the lead to 6-1.

Gabe Richard, who was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base in the win, then delivered the big blow of the frame with a base hit to left that scored Eubanks and Doherty to extend the lead to 8-1.

After stealing second, Richard scored on a double to left-center by Ty Disotell to make the final margin.

Disotell also opened the scoring in the second with a single to center that scored Johnson, who had singled with one out and stole second.

In the third, Jackson Cook led off with a single to left, and Chase Brumley entered the game to run for Cook.

Brumley stole second and scored on a two-out double to left-center by Baylor Brumley to make it 2-0.

Having seen their lead get sliced in half in the top of the fourth, the Oilers responded in the bottom half of the inning.

With two outs, Johnson was hit by a pitch and stole second.

Richard then singled to left to score Johnson to give the Oilers a 3-1 cushion.

After stealing second, Richard went to third on Disotell's fielder's choice before scoring on a passed ball to make it 4-1.

Brumley and Disotell each joined Richard with two hits in the win by going 2-for-3.
