Jo Layne Conn, 91 of El Dorado passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Hudson Senior Center in El Dorado.

Born September 15,

1928 in Weston, Louisiana, she was the daughter of

James Malory and Emily

Jane Simpson Strain. Mrs.

Conn was a Hairdresse­r for more than 30 years.

She was a member of

Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas for

48 years where she served

God.

Jo Layne Conn was married to the love of her life,

Truett, (A T Conn) for almost 63 years. Her passion was spending time with him and her family and especially her grandchild­ren. She loved God with all of her heart, loved her flowers, especially her roses, and had a passion for cooking. She could be seen outside frequently tending to her flowers and her garden. She was always ready to bake a pound cake when needed, and they were delicious! She had a love for cooking and baking and it was common for something tasty to be coming out of her oven.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband, Truett Conn, two brothers, Ottis Strain and W. T. Strain and two sisters, Ruth Jones and Verlene Kennedy.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Wilson (Stewart) and Jan Herren (Marty) all of El Dorado. Surviving grandchild­ren are Joel Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Kyle Herren (Katie) and Emily Herren along with a great-grandson, Truett Wayne Herren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, 211 Ebenezer Church Road, Jonesboro, Louisiana with Rev. Brian Rankin officiatin­g.

JIMMY LEE DUDNEY

Jimmy Lee Dudney, 70 of Magnolia, Arkansas died on July 12, 2020 at Christus St. Vincent Hot Springs Hospital.

He was born on April 23, 1950 in Smackover,

Arkansas the late Theo

Augusta Dudney and Lee

Evelyn (Rabb) Dudney. He worked with his brother at Cairo Liquor Store and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife

Linda Faye (Hedrick)

Dudney; and a brother

Robert Dudney.

Jimmy is survived by his step son Chris Jackson and his wife Kimberly and their family Joshua Jackson,

Wyatt Raines, Michael Raines, Anthony Raines, and

Jessica Raines; uncle and aunt Glen & Jan Rabb; his cousins, Peggy Powell, Jan Larkey, Donna Green, Bob Dudney, Vaness Hamilton, Gretchen Stolfo, Elnora Dennis and Mike Bahn, Jimmy Sue Odom, Linda Sneed, Mick Rabb, Debra Yates, Janice Sneed, Doug Rabb, Brenda Pevy, and Sherry King.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Viewing and signing of the guestbook will be available on Friday, July 17th from 1:00pm to 7:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

BETTY JANE MCDUFFIE DUNN

Betty Jane McDuffie Dunn, 90, of Hampton, died Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at The Springs Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center in Magnolia. She was born July 12, 1930, to the late James Allen and Nettie Jane Adams McDuffie in Bradley

County and graduated from

Hampton High School. She married Rev. Horace J.

Dunn on June 6, 1948, and was a faithful helpmate and ministry partner for 57 years as he pastored churches across south Arkansas. Her personal ministry focused on children, and she led a countless number of individual­s to Christ throughout her life. Even in assist- ed living, she was faithful to share Jesus with those around her. She was a member of Brister Baptist Church at Emerson.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers: Raymond McDuffie, Jesse McDuffie, and Carol McDuffie; two sisters: Kathleen James-Basse and Shirley McDuffie; and a son-in-law, Johnny Langley.

She is survived by her daughters: Cindy Graves and husband Mike of El Dorado and Kim Tomlin and husband Jason of Lewisville; eight grandchild­ren: Brent Erwin of Georgia, Stacy Hill of Benton, Krysta Parker and husband Daniel of Nashville, Jeremy Langley and wife Mary of Emerson, Stephanie Powell and husband William of Stamps, and Michelle Moseley and husband Bo, Jamie Graves and wife Crystal, and Amie Vinson and husband Eli all of El Dorado; 19 great-grandchild­ren: A.J. (Courtney) Erwin, Tiffany Erwin, Charlie Erwin, Taylor Hill, Emily Hill, Julie Hill, Abbi Parker, Ryder Parker, John Garrett Parker, Brady Parker, Case Parker, Truitt Langley, Colt Powell, Zack Westbrook, Luke and Canaan Vinson, Micah and Kiley Graves, and Devin (Hannah) Graves; two great-great-grandchild­ren: Axton Erwin and Blakeley Graves (arriving soon); a sister-inlaw: Ida Lou Johnson of Little Rock; and two brothers-inlaw: Carroll Wayne Dunn and wife Marty of Little Rock and William Dunn of Tontitown.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Dunn Cemetery near Hampton with Bro. Jeremy Langley and Bro. Steve Flemming officiatin­g under the direction of Benton Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Chad Davis, Barry Dunn, Robin James, Terry James, Ryder Parker, A.J. Erwin, and Homer Dean Barnes.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brister Baptist Church Building Fund, 3711 Hwy 79 S., Emerson, AR 71740.

The family wishes to express their most sincere appreciati­on to the staffs of The Springs and Encompass Hospice for their love and care during her final days.
