Farmers markets on tap this weekend

The Murphy Arts District Farmers Market will host the Mike Senn Family Farm, P&L Farm and Honey Rock Handcraft today.

LifeShare will also be at the market providing free COVID-19 antibody testing from 8 to 11 a.m. Those who wish to receive an antibody test should schedule a walkin at donor.lifeshare.org/donor/ schedules/drive_schedule/213869; as of Friday afternoon, there were still several time slots available.

The MAD Farmers Market is held on the covered walkway between the MAD Amphitheat­er and Playscape at 105 E. Locust. Shoppers will be required to follow some guidelines to protect themselves, vendors and other customers against COVID-19, including:No dogs

Face masks required

No groups or lingering Social distancing of six feet between oneself and others required

No outside bags or handling produce before purchase

Sanitize one’s hands after purchases

Exit at the stage side of the market

MAD also recommends paying with a credit or debit card or using exact change if paying with cash. Traffic flow and social distance markers are provided on the ground, and vendors will serve only one shopper at a time.

The MAD Farmers Market will be open from 8 to 11 a.m. today.

The Farm Fresh Market is also ongoing, with social distancing measures in place, sanitizer on deck and masked vendors. The Farm Fresh Market is located at the TAC House parking lot, at the intersecti­on of North West Avenue and Fifth Street. It is open in the morning hours.
