Thanks to a terrific pitching performance by Ty Disotell and a key twoout hit by Baylor Brumley, the El Dorado Oilers kept their season alive by topping Lake Hamilton 4-2 Saturday at the Arkansas American Legion AAA Senior State Tournament at Sheridan.

The Oilers (21-11) faced Bryant in an elimination game on Sunday.

Disotell (4-3) allowed five hits and walked five, but struck out four while allowing two runs over six innings of work to pick up his fourth win of the season.

Brumley, the winning pitcher in the Oilers' win over Batesville in their tournament opener, picked up his first save by working a scoreless seventh. He allowed a leadoff double to Ben Maldon, but retired Spencer Gracie on a popup to Jackson Cook.

Brumley then got a huge lift from his defense, as Sawyer Cropper robbed Weston Dobyns of a hit by making a terrific diving catch on a ball hit to the gap in right-center.

Brumley was able to finish off the Wolves by getting Ryan Fields to ground out to second.

The Smackover standout also drove in what turned out to be the game-winning run in the second after the Wolves erased a 2-0 deficit with a pair of runs in the top half of the inning.

Disotell led off with a single to right and Hunter Lawrence entered the game as a courtesy runner.

Lawrence stole second and Cook walked to put two runners on base.

Cropper came on as a courtesy runner for Cook, but Lawrence was thrown out at third on the front end of a double steal.

One out later, Brumley delivered an RBI single to left to bring home Cropper to give the Oilers a 3-2 lead.

The Oilers manufactured an insurance run in the sixth.

With one out, Tyler Johnson was hit by a pitch, and one out later, Cropper pinch hit for Disotell and drew a walk to put runners at first and second.

Cook then walked on a full count to load the bases, and Tanner McLelland finished an eight-pitch at-bat by drawing a free pass of his own to score Johnson to give the Oilers a 4-2 lead.

The Oilers opened the scoring with two runs in the first.

McLelland led off with a base hit to left and Brumley followed with a single to center.

One out later, Jacob Eubanks laced a single to center to score McLelland with the game's first run.

With two outs, Johnson drove in Brumley with a base hit to left-center.

The Wolves tied the game in the second, but after Brumley's aforementioned run-scoring single in the bottom half of the frame, the duo of Disotell

and Brumley kept the Wolves at bay.

Brumley went 2-for-4 with one run scored and an RBI, while Johnson was 1-for-2 with a walk, one run scored and an RBI for the Oilers.

McLelland was 1-for3 with a walk, one run scored and an RBI, Eubanks was 1-for-3 with an RBI, Doherty was 1-for3 with a double and one stolen base and Disotell was 1-for-2 to account for the remainder of the Oilers' hits in the contest.

Cropper had a walk, scored one run and stole two bases, and Lawrence had two stolen bases in the win.
