Donald Riley Goodwin Jr., 68 of Chidester passed away at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden.
Graveside services will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Fryer and Rev. William Willis officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
In keeping with CDC regulations there will be no visitation and mask and social distancing are required for the service.

JEAN M. SLIGH Jean M. Sligh, 88, of El Dorado, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She was born July 31, 1932 to Horace and Lela Adams Moore in Warren, AR.
Jean was a long-standing member of West Side
Baptist Church. She was one of the founders of the church’s library. Although primarily a homemaker,
Jean also worked as a secretary for Lion Oil in the 1950s and later as a part-time bookkeeper with
Goodyear.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband,
Freddie Sligh; son, Glenn
Sligh; great granddaughter,
Lilly Sandifer; brothers, Dr.
Harold Moore, Max Moore, Charles Moore and Robert Moore; and sister, Ann Grider.
Survivors include her son, Robert Bruce Sligh (ChuanHwa); daughter-in-law, Cathy Sligh; two grandchildren, Katie Sandifer (Whit), Jacob Sligh (Hannah); and four great grandchildren, Bennett Sandifer, Charlie Sandifer, Ava Sligh, and Ella Sligh.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at Shady Grove Cemetery in New Edinburgh, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Gerald Perry and Rev. Cliff Preston officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Directors. In keeping with CDC regulations mask and social distancing will be required.
