Graveside service for Virginia Sapp will be held on Friday , August 14, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Stamps Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas. There will be no public visitation at the funeral home. The service has been entrusted to the professional care of Andrews Funeral Home.

ALPHA (SUE) DESPAIN ETHREDGE
On August 11, 2020, Alpha (Sue) Despain Ethredge left her earthly body for a new, whole and perfect heavenly body. She is now praising her Savior, Jesus Christ and is again united with her precious Leon.

Sue met and married the love of her life, Leon
Ethredge, just prior to his deployment to serve our country in Korea. Upon his return, the couple settled in Junction City, Arkansas where they raised their 4 children and lived out their lives together. She was a homemaker.
For 68 years, Sue was a faithful member of Scotland Presbyterian Church in Junction City, Arkansas. Her life was a beautiful example of servanthood as she lived out her call from The Lord to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Sue carried out her life in a selfless search of someone to help. During her later years, Sue’s passion to serve found an added direction as she and her beloved Leon tirelessly and passionately worked to provide for hundreds of children in underdeveloped countries through the ministry of Operation Christmas Child.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Zola Dicus, brother Carl Despain, and the love of her life for 68 years, Franklin Leon Ethredge.
She is survived by her children: Ann McDaniel (David) of Belcher, LA, Vicki Pepper (Bruce) of El Dorado, AR, David Ethredge (Susan) of Mountain Home, AR and Mary Kennedy (Billy) of College Station, TX. Survivors also include “Meme’s” grandchildren Wesley Greene, Melissa McDaniel Fultz (Travis), Ashley McDaniel Miller (Will), Jonathan McDaniel, Ryan Pepper, Amy Pepper Hough (Jeff), Laura Ethredge Fellows (Brian), Michael Ethredge, Will Kennedy, Lexie Kennedy, Brooks Kennedy and Anna Cate Kennedy as well as 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Cronin, and brother-in-law, Donnie Ethredge.
The family would like to thank special caregivers Jackie Payne, Teresa Sanchez and the special providers of Nightingale Hospice of Shreveport for their loving care of Meme over the last 5 years.
A family led Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Scotland Presbyterian Church, Junction City, AR. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

JIMMIE HAMILTON
Jimmie Hamilton, 68 of Norphlet, AR, formerly of Crossett, died Monday, August 10, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on July 6,
1952 in Little Rock, AR the son of Garland and
Euna Hamilton. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving six years in the United
States Navy. Jimmie was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed drag racing and fishing.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Chris Hamilton.
Survivors are his wife of
49 years, Stephanie Hamilton of Norphlet; a son, Bryan Hamilton (Diane) of Norphlet; step-grandsons, Addison Preston and Thomas Preston; and a sister,
Judy Spears (Doug) of Camden.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2020 in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Don Ashcraft and Rev. Sye Duke officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Cemetery on Hancock Rd, Crossett, AR under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

RANDALL LAMAR KITCHENS, SR.
Randall Lamar Kitchens, Sr., 81 of Lawson, AR passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, AR
He was born June 10,
1939 in Tinsman, AR to the late Jesse Kitchens and
Effie Russell Kitchens.
Randall was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James
Kenneth Kitchens, two sisters, Vivian Hand and
Doris Rainwater, and two sons, Michael Kitchens and Gregory Kitchens.
Randall loved to fish and hunt and raise hot peppers. He loved to go camping with all the boys, and loved sharing his knowledge of the outdoors. Randall had a great love for his family and friends. He passed on so many valuable lessons and strong family values. Randall will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Brenda Gray Kitchens, one daughter, Sandy Sain and husband Howard, two sons, Randall Kitchens, Jr., and wife Jerrie, and Jason Kitchens and wife Terri, all of El Dorado, AR, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in El Dorado, AR with Rev. Scott Bodenhamer officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Fordyce, AR. under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
Due to Covid19, a mask will be required to enter for visitation and funeral services and social distancing must be observed.

TERRY LYNN MURRAY
Terry Lynn Murray, 73, of Strong, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020. He was born June 8, 1947 to Grady Odell and Willie Belle Bowen Murray in El Dorado, AR.
He was a Veteran of the
United States Air Force, a retired 911 coordinator for
Grande Communications in San Marcos, TX and was of the Baptist Faith.
At 65, he retired and returned home to the farm where he was raised. He spent the next 8 years, outside in the sun, working the land and being the very best Papa, ever.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Thomas Keith Murray, Max Murray, Robert Murray; and three sisters, Carol Kay Murray, Wanda Kinard, and Susy Lewis.
Survivors include his three daughters, Denna McGrew (Jim) of Stuart, FL, Karen Dunn (Jason) of Strong, AR, Becca Levite (Michael) of Baton Rouge, LA; the mother of his children, Deborah Parker of West Monroe, LA; twin sister, Teresa Hodge (Bob) of West Monroe, LA; and grandchildren, Ethan and Jenna McGrew, Ava, Jack, Maryn and Gemma Dunn, and Kacey Watson (Chad), Ryan and Emily Porter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 in Young’s Chapel with visitation beginning at 12:00 until service time. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

SHARON “JANE” SCOTT
Sharon “Jane” Scott age 77 of Conway, AR, formerly of Strong, AR passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in Conway. Jane was born on August 18, 1942 in Danville, IL to the late Wilma Lucille Wilson
Brandon and Joseph
Robert Brandon. Jane was of the Assembly of
God Faith and was the former owner of Lipsey’s
Sandwich Shop, for many years. She later worked in the Deli at Wal Mart, serving ten plus years before her retirement.
She enjoyed reading and enjoyed being outdoors, whether she was fishing, hunting or gardening, she loved it all. In recent years, she enjoyed going dancing with her special friend,
Jimmy Covington.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. “Buddy” Scott Sr., and a sister,

Survivors include; one son, Robert E. Scott Jr. of Strong; one daughter, Rhonda Johnson and husband Tony of Conway; one granddaughter, Jessica Jones of Greenbrier; two sisters, Jo Ann Wallace and husband Jerry of Homer, IL, and twin sister, Karen Jean Baer of Iuka, IL; special cousin, Junior Cameron and wife Amy; special friend and Companion, Jimmy Covington of Springhill, AR along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am, followed by a graveside service at 10:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, with Bro. Terry Burke officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

SHIRLEY ANN VINES
Shirley Ann Vines, age78, of El Dorado, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born on August 23, 1941 near
Junction City to the late
Edna Stegall Pepper and
Gordon Ralph Pepper.
Shirley, better known as
Granny, to her grandchildren, took great pride in teaching her grandchildren to play the piano, sing, cook and sew. She was a current member of First
Baptist Church of Homer, where she enjoyed attending and especially looked forward to the monthly get togethers with the Vine’s brothers and sisters.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 59 years, Gurvis Vines, and one brother, Mike Pepper.
Shirley is survived by her four children, Jay Vines and wife Jody, and Kelly Brown and husband Jerry all of El Dorado, Holly Harris and husband Steve, and Michael Vines all of Bossier City, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Thompson of Magnolia and Sue Roberson of Bella Vista.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Craig Cemetery with Brian Thurman officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

ROSE MARIE DUKE
Rose Marie Duke, 57, of Little Rock, formerly of El Dorado passed away August 7, 2020 to natural causes. She was born in California on June 23,1963 to the late Robert and Christella Wells. Rose is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Gail Wells.
She moved to El Dorado when she was in elementary school and graduated from El Dorado High in 1980 at the age 16. Rose earned her Associates degree in Business from South Arkansas Community College in 2000. She owned and operated Garden Techniques and worked at Kroger’s. Rose enjoyed gardening, landscaping, spending time with her friends and family, and most of all being with her dogs. She had a special way about her that will never be forgotten. Rose is survived by her son, Rick Cupples (Nicole); brothers, Bobby Wells and Tim Wells; sister Dana Daniels; one grandson; one great grandson; four nieces and five nephews. MRS. MARIE KIDD
Mrs. Marie Kidd, 79, of Conway, AR, formerly of Crossett, died Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Salem Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Strong, AR, a retired childcare provider and seamstress, a 30-year member of Gates Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Crossett, and a 20-year member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Conway.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Obadiah and Deborah Newton-Dawkins; three brothers, Obie Ray, Earl Lee, and Ervin George Dawkins; and three sisters, Evelyn, Lorene, and Lovely Dawkins. Marie loved sewing, working crossword puzzles, watching programs on TV, and teaching her preschool children at church.
She is survived by one daughter, Pamela Moss, of Conway, AR; one brother, Charles Troy Dawkins (Pamela), of Strong, AR; five sisters, Bertha Lynn, of Cleveland, OH, Norma J. Brown-Lee (James) of Conway, AR, Lessie Montgomery (William) of Sacramento, CA, Joyce Bey, of North Little Rock, AR and Debbie Ann Walker (Larry) of Little Rock, AR; one grandson, Joshua Kamaal Moss; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Graveside service will be Friday, August 14, 2020, 11 a.m., at Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Tyrone Broomfield officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are Waymond Newton, Herman Newton, Danny Newton, Johnny Hicks, Billy Frank Lovett, and Darryl Newton.
