Union County Retired Teachers meeting Monday The Union County Retired Teachers will have a Zoom meeting on Monday, March 15 at 2 p.m. The call committee will contact organizati­on members with the codes needed to take part in the meeting. Those without access to a computer or the Zoom app are invited to join in-person upstairs at the at the TAC House on Monday. Mary Alice Hughes will be sharing insurance updates. Social distancing and wearing masks will be observed.

Historic district commission to meet today

The El Dorado Historic District Commission will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at noon today, via Zoom. The meeting is open to the public. Anyone who is interested in participat­ing may send an email to Elizabeth Eggleston, EHDC executive director, at elizabethe­ggleston@sbcglobal.net.

Artists’ reception today

The South Arkansas Arts Center will host an artists’ reception today for Katie Harwell and Kendal Blanchard, whose exhibit “Collagraph and Collage,” will hang in the Lobby Gallery through March 30.

Guests are asked to RSVP for a limited-entry time slots. The reception will be hosted for small groups, with scheduled times for viewing at 5:30 or 6 p.m. For more informatio­n about the exhibit or to attend the artists’ reception, contact the SAAC office at 862-5474 or visit saac-arts.org.

The Lobby Gallery is open for viewing Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Masks are required, and social distancing protocol will be followed. SAAC is located at 110 E. 5th St. in El Dorado.

Thursday Night Livestream tonight

The Murphy Arts District will present “Thursday Night Livestream” featuring local musician Amy Allen tonight at 7 p.m. on Facebook Live.

Calion City Council to meet

The Calion City Council will meet tonight. Meetings are live-streamed on the Calion Mayor Facebook page.
