In the Southwest hospital region of the state, where Union County sits, 16 people were hospitaliz­ed due to COVID-19 Wednesday, including one in an intensive care unit and one on ventilator support.

A total of 122,180 COVID vaccine doses had been administer­ed by Wednesday afternoon in the Southwest hospital region. The ADH reported that 11.2% of the region’s population were partially immunized Wednesday and 13.8% were fully immunized.
