NOTICE OF PASSING EDWIN “ED” TAYLOR MAGEE

Edwin “Ed” Taylor Magee, 67, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, Ed’s family requests that toys be brought to First Baptist Church to be donated to local children, or that memorials be made to the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado.

Arrangemen­ts will be announced by Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the Strong – Huttig High School Gymnasium in Strong, AR.

Public Viewing will be held from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021, at the chapel of Mitchell Memorial, and Saturday, April 3, 2021, from 9:00 AM until service time.

Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Strong, AR under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.

FULL OBITUARIES SISTER WILLIE MAE BROWN

Sister Willie Mae Brown was born on September 3, 1942, in Haynesvill­e, Louisiana, to the late Willie Lee Miller and Tom Wilson.

On March 27, 2021, God called Willie Mae home for a much-deserved unexpected rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John Brown and brother-Tom Wilson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories of her a son-Shandon (Amanda) Brown, a daughter; Judy Carter; two sisters, Shellie Watson of El Dorado, Arkansas and Maxine Roach of McNeil, Arkansas; one brother Hudson Meadors Jr of El Dorado, Arkansas. Three grandchild­ren; Merla Carter, Tyrus Carter, and Kyra Taylor all of El Dorado, Arkansas, sister-in- law Rose Brown of Michigan . A special friend Ida Faye Tidwell and a host of uncles and aunts, cousins, extended family friends, and loved ones who will all miss her dearly.

JOHN LUTHER TAYLOR

John Luther Taylor, 83, of Mountain Home passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 in Springfiel­d, Missouri. He was born February 17, 1938 in Huttig, Arkansas to the late Norman and Martha (Lowery) Taylor. John loved woodworkin­g and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven Taylor; a daughter, Christina Taylor; a brother, Earnest Taylor and two sisters, Anne “Naydene” McEuen and Dorothy “Virginia” Carter John is survived by his wife, Ann Taylor of the home; two daughters, Barbara (Rolland) Rook and Martha Gilliespie; two stepsons, Larry (Becky) Gulley and David (Chantel) Gulley; three brothers, Charles Taylor, “Franklin” James (Eddie Marie) Taylor and Harold (Sandra) Taylor); two sisters, Mittie “Marthell” (Royce) Taylor, and Jannie “Lucille” (Allen) Parrish; five grandchild­ren, David, William, Jonathon, Anne Marie and Sarah; several great grandchild­ren and many more family and friends.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the Conner Family Funeral Home Chapel.
