The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from noon until funeral time at Calion Assembly of God Church. Funeral services will be at 2 pm with Bro. Gerald Taylor and Bro. Pete Elliott officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Hwy. 335, Norphlet, AR.

Ruth Mae Tibbs, 96, of El Dorado passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Young’s.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Kent Jobe officiatin­g. Interment will follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

OBITUAIRES JACOBY J. EDWARDS

Jacoby J. Edwards was born June 5, 2000, the son of Shantell Richard and Franco Edwards.

He passed July 6, 2021, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by one brother Cornelius Tykeen Edwards, great-grandmothe­r Viola Hart, and Idera Roberson, great grandfathe­r Jimmy Hart and Jerry Ray Roberson, Grandfathe­r Daryl J. Miller and Martell Richard great grandmothe­r Julia Richard, great grandfathe­r Hershell Bill Richard, great grand Geraldine Miller, and a very special cousin Joseph Ray Phillip.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: one daughter Avaley Edwards, two sons Kannon Edwards Kristian Edwards, and one extraordin­ary son Aceyn Greene, his loving mother, Shantell Richard, and his loving father, Franco Edwards, three brothers Chazare Roberson, Franco Edwards Jr. Christophe­r Johnson. Three sisters Kyla Richard, Ashanti Edwards, Shaquetta Edwards. Grandmothe­r Nancy Edwards and Linda Miller, grandfathe­r Carlee Edwards a very special uncle, Jerry Wayne Robertson.

DOROTHY ELIZABETH (HALE) LEE

Dorothy Elizabeth (Hale) Lee passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2021. She was born to Asa and Madalyn (Cone) Hale on May 9, 1923 in Mexico, New York.

At an early age she went to live with her uncle and aunt, Edward and Mary Cope, in Wetumaka, Oklahoma where she completed 4th through 12th grades. It was at the First Baptist Church of Wetumka where Dorothy was saved, baptized, and began a lifelong walk with her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dorothy married Seidel A. Lee on July 1, 1940. They moved from Oklahoma City to Richardson, Texas with her two daughters. Peggy and Jeanne, in 1956.

As an adult, Dorothy continued her walk with Christ by actively serving in church. She was a member of The Heights Baptist Church in Richardson for 65 years where she enjoyed being a door greeter and had been a devoted Sunday school teacher.

Dorothy always loved to work and had a tremendous work ethic. She was an executive secretary at Ling Electric in Richardson until retirement, and subsequent­ly went to work for H&R Block until she retired permanentl­y at the age of 80. She loved to travel especially with her sister, Gladys and her nephew, Roy Hunt, Jr., and she was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmothe­r. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seidel, her sister, Gladys Killam, and her cousin, Claudine Tieman. She is survived by one brother, Bob Hale, and two daughters, Peggy (Edwin) Reynolds, and Jeanne (Jack) Hamblett, Jr., five grandchild­ren, Michael (Marcela) Reynolds, Paula (Richard) Sloane, Philip Reynolds, Sharon Collie, Jack (Mandy) Hamblet, III, fifteen great grandildre­n, six great-great grandchild­ren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be conducted at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., and service officiated by Dr. Gary Singleton at 2 p.m. in the Wildwood Chapel, followed by burial.

Pallbearer­s will be Michael Reynolds, Jack Hamblett, III, Campbell Turner, Carson Callaway, Sam Hamblett, and Ben Hamblett. Honorary pall bears are Philip Reynolds, Ryan Fletcher, and Hunter Morrow.
