DONNA MICHELLE PITTMAN

Donna Michelle Pittman, age 54, of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021, at Hudson Nursing Home due to a lengthy illness.

Everett and Judith Ann

Breaux Pittman Florence.

She lived at the Columbia

County Independen­t

Living Center in Magnolia,

Arkansas for 25 years until her health required total care and she was moved to Hudson Nursing Home.

Donna loved the holidays when she was able to visit with her sister Robin and her family along with many other family and friends. She was of Baptist faith.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents; grandparen­ts, John Robert Pittman, Sr. and Mabel Irene Pittman; her maternal grandparen­ts, Carl and Lois Hagler and special aunt, Bea Murphy.

She is survived by her sister Robin Horton (Keith); niece, Holly Horton; nephew, Nicolas Horton; great niece, Sadie Horton all of Alabama; uncles, Billy Pittman (Tanya) of El Dorado and Danny Pittman of Camden along with numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 13, 2021 at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Graveside Services to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Daniel officiatin­g under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnol­le Road, El Dorado, Arkansas, 71730.

We would like to express our sincere appreciati­on to the staff of Hudson Nursing Home for the excellent care they provided do our sweet Donna.

MARY DEAN WILLIAMS SETLIFF

Mary Dean Williams Setliff, age 98, formerly of El Dorado, AR entered into Heaven’s Gates on August 7, 2021 in Bella Vista, AR. Born April 23, 1923, near Moro Bay, AR, she was the daughter of Charley Pinkney Williams and Dessie Minnie Vines Williams.

She was a Bible reading prayer warrior, whose dynamic personalit­y influenced people’s lives. She inspired young and old, rich and poor. Her love reached out to all, especially to those in need. She visited the sick, the bereaved, and the lonely.

She graduated from Hermitage High School and Business College in El Dorado. She worked for Lion Oil Company and sang with the Lion Oil Trio. She sang at many patriotic events in memory of her husband’s military service during WWII. She taught Sunday School for many years and was worship leader for over 50 years at the First Church of God. She served as Chair of the building fund campaign, on numerous boards, and State Chair of the Women’s Missionary Society. Among her greatest joys were singing with her daughters, and spending time with her grandchild­ren who affectiona­tely called her “Gran.”

Mary Dean is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, John Paul Setliff, and two brothers, Arnold and Ernest Williams. Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Bob) Ahart, of Holiday Island, AR and Pam (Gary) Swilley of Bella Vista, AR, five grandchild­ren, six great-grandchild­ren, and many nieces and nephews. Her love of family and her wonderful friends was exceeded only by her love for her Lord and Savior.

A public visitation will be at Young’s Funeral Home, El Dorado, AR, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, August 13. Masks are required. A private funeral service, for family only will be held at the First Church of God, 918 N Mosby, Saturday, August 14. Masks are required. A graveside service will follow at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The following pastors will be officiatin­g: Jerry Riddle, Bill Reynolds, Dr. Dan Harden (via video), and Dalyn Helbling.

Pallbearer­s are Dr. Guy Hickman, Joe Hickman, John Hickman, Mark Hickman, Stephen Jones and Stan Sweeney. Honorary Pallbearer­s are Dr. Reuben Setliff, Jerry Williams, Don Williams, Terry Adams, Coleman Brown and Wayne Ederington.
