KATHY KAY CROSS WILLIAMS
Kathy Kay Cross Williams, age 72 years, of Hot Springs, AR passed away on August 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 26, 1948 in El Dorado, AR to Jack Cross and Mary Alice “Pod” Goodwin Cross. Kathy graduated from Norphlet High School in 1966. Kathy was a licensed cosmetologist for many years. She furthered her education at South Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR obtaining a B.S. in Education. She taught at Elliott Christian School in Ouachita County, Westside Christian School in El Dorado, AR and Evangel Christian School in Shreveport, LA.
Kathy was a believer of her Savior Jesus Christ. She was only 2 semesters away from completing her Masters in Theology. She was a member of Legacy Church in Hot Springs, AR.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and her husband Eddie Cogburn, and a step son Brantley Williams.
She is survived by her husband Roger Williams; seven sons, Marty Leach (Angel), Shane Leach, Yancy Leach (Leslie), Colby Williams, Josh Williams, Blake Williams (Clara Beth) and Mike Williams (Morgan); a daughter Melissa Tellez (Joel). She is also survived by two sisters, Cissy Cross and Jackye Swilley (Randy) and a brother Bud (Sherry) Cross; an uncle Ronnie Goodwin (Pauline), and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Surviving grandchildren are Katy Quarles (Blu), Kannon Leach (Cameron Lynne), Jackson Leach, Gavin Leach, Allie Ford, Hailey Rae Leach, Bentley Leach, Isaiah Phifer, Ayden Phifer, Preslee Phifer, Amelia Jane Williams, Lane Williams, Landon Williams, Peyton Williams, and Jeremy Tellez (Tabitha); and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 3rd at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel, 508 Champagnolle Rd, El Dorado, Arkansas.
