St., El Dorado, Arkansas, Saturday, February 12,

2022 at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Willie Baptist Church Cemetery.

PAUL DAVID PARKS-BIBA

Paul David Parks-Biba, 55, of Asheville, NC, formerly of El Dorado, passed away quietly in his sleep on Sunday, January 23, 2022 after an extended illness. Paul was born August 19,

1966 to J.C. and Marilyn

Naomi Parks in El Dorado,

Arkansas. He was educated in the El Dorado Public

Schools, and a member of the EHS Class of 1984.

He earned a degree in sociology, and a minor in organ performanc­e from

Centenary College in 1988, and was a member of the

Centenary Choir. Paul spent his whole life in the service of others beginning in high school in his work with the local Salvation Army. His work in college with the Human Resources Center of First United Methodist, Shreveport prepared the way for his life’s work in helping others. From 1990 until 2016 he lived in Dallas, Texas where he worked as a developmen­t officer for two non-profit organizati­ons, with the majority of his work at Aids Services of Dallas, the world’s largest provider of housing for persons living with the disease. In his final year with ASD, he was responsibl­e for raising more than $21 million for the organizati­on. Helping others was his passion, as was cooking for others which he shared with his partner of twenty years.

He is preceded in death by his father J.C. Parks, grandparen­ts, and numerous other family members. Paul is survived by his mother, Marilyn Naomi Parks of El Dorado, his husband, Gregg Parks-Biba of Asheville, their son, Joey Andrew Duran of Iowa City, IA, and bonus son Joseph Napolitano; brother Don Parks and wife Sandi of El Dorado, 23 living first cousins, and many other aunts and uncles.

A memorial worship service will be held Saturday, February 12 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1942 North Wyatt Drive, El Dorado at 11:00 a.m. Prior to the service, there will be a time of visitation at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church Music Ministry. The family respectful­ly requests for the health safety of all involved, that masks be utilized.

RICKY D. BEVER

Ricky D. Bever, 68, of Benton, AR formerly of El Dorado, AR passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at his home.

Ricky was born August

1, 1953 in Little Rock, AR to the union of Dr. Henry

Sardis Bever and Jessie

Langley Bever.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister,

Vicki Darlene Bever, and a son-in-law, Eric Dugan.

Ricky was the former property manager for West

Side Baptist Church and retired from Home Depot after 13 years. He was a member of Mid-Towne Church in Benton. Ricky was an avid hunter and outdoorsma­n and loved taking his young grandsons to the pond. His family meant the world to him and he spent as much time with them as he could. He always met everyone with a smile.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Tina DeVault Bever, three daughters, Angela Dugan, Amber Bishop and husband James, and April Binko and husband Stanley, eight grandchild­ren, Alli Coke and husband Kyle, Lauren Walters and husband Devin, Logan Harbour, Ryan Bishop, Lane Harbour and wife Makayla, Andrew Dugan, Avin Binko, and Aydan Binko, eight great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Bailey Funeral Home

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 in Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Snell and Rev. David Voss officiatin­g. Arrangemen­ts under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR

RICHARD GERALD JONES

El Dorado, AR

September 1, 1952- February 8, 2022 Richard was preceded in death by his mother and father Peggy Carroll and J.B. Jones, brother Thad Jones, maternal grandparen­ts Thaddie and James Davis, and stepfather Travis Carroll. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Lynne Wood Jones. His daughters Miranda Conway (Patrick), Ashley Jones, and Rachel Thurmon (Danny). Grandchild­ren, Hunter Lee, Cody Lee, April Thurmon, Emma Thurmon, Cambry Thurmon, Jaxson Thurmon and Alexis Conway and one great granddaugh­ter Audrie Herndon. A memorial service will be announced later. We want to say thank you to Lifetouch Hospice and his caregivers.
