WHAT’S NEW ON NETFLIX “Hustle” (2022)

Tie up your sneakers and practice your free throws:The inspiratio­nal new sports drama “Hustle” premieres Wednesday, June 8, on Netflix. Washed-up pro basketball scout Stanley Beren (Adam Sandler, “The Waterboy,” 1998) is down on his luck and desperate to revive his career. While traveling abroad in Spain, Beren’s luck seems to change when he happens upon once-in-a-lifetime player Bo Cruz (played by NBA power forward Juancho Hernangome­z) shooting hoops in a park outside Madrid. Risking everything he has by bringing the young player back to the United States without the approval of his team, Stanley and Bo grapple with Bo’s rocky past as they risk their only shot to prove they have what it takes to make it in the NBA. Against all odds, Stanley grooms Bo to be a great player while trying to bring himself back into his team’s good graces. Directed by Jeremiah Zagar (“We the Animals,” 2018), “Hustle” is written by Will Fetters (“A Star is Born,” 2018) and Taylor Materne (“Dominoes,” 2020). Ben Foster (“Hell or High Water,” 2016), Andrea Sooch (“Claws”), Robert Duvall (“The Godfather,” 1972), Queen Latifah (“The Equalizer”), Kenny Smith (“The NBA on TNT”), Jaleel White (“Family Matters”), Raúl Castillo (“Army of the Dead,” 2021) and María Botto (“Good Behavior”) co-star in the film alongside NBA players Boban Marjanovic, Anthony Edwards, Trae Young, Jordan Clarkson, Khris Middleton, Aaron Gordon, Kyle Lowry, Seth Curry, Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle and Tyrese Maxey. NBA coaches Doc Rivers and Mark Jackson also star.

“Peaky Blinders” - Season 6

Don’t miss the conclusion of the fan-favorite crime family saga “Peaky Blinders” when the series’ sixth and final season premieres Friday, June 10, on Netflix. Set in post-war Birmingham, U.K., for much of the series, “Peaky Blinders” follows the titular street gang and their fierce leader, Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy, “Inception,” 2010), as he works to build his crime empire beyond the bounds of Birmingham and stopping anyone who dares get in his way. Heading into Season 6, Tommy enters a whole new world of opportunit­y as he makes a trip across the pond to North America.While post-prohibitio­n America presents a great opportunit­y for his business, old adversarie­s, new rivals and his political aspiration­s might prove too much for Tommy to overcome.As he faces the consequenc­es of his actions,Tommy’s ultimate hunt for power comes to an explosive head. WHAT’S NEW ON PRIME “Fairfax” - Season 2

Do it all for the clout with Season 2 of “Fairfax,” available to stream Friday, June 10, on Prime. Following middle school best friends Dale (Skyler Gisondo, “The Amazing Spider-Man,” 2012), Derica (Kiersey Clemons, “Dope,” 2015), Benny (Peter S. Kim, “A Spy Movie,” 2021) and Truman (Jaboukie Young-White, “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” 2018) on their never-ending quest for clout on Los Angeles’ Fairfax Avenue (the ultimate center of hypebeast culture), this adult animated comedy sees the friends do whatever it takes to get * popular and stay popular in the age of social media. From standing in line for a pair of sneakers they’ll never wear to trying out viral challenges, these ride-or-die friends do it all. Created by Matt Hausfater (“Undateable”) and new writer/producers Aaron Buchsbaum and Teddy Riley, Season 2 of “Fairfax” also voice stars John Leguizamo (“Encanto,” 2021), J.B. Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and Colton Dunn (“Superstore”), and features a special guest appearance from “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host and Food Network superstar Guy Fieri.

WHAT’S NEW ON APPLE TV+ “For All Mankind” - Season 3

Experience an alternate reality with the Season 3 release of “For All Mankind,” premiering its first episode Friday, June 10, on Apple TV+, and releasing weekly episodes on Fridays thereafter.This sci-fi drama imagines an alternate universe in which the global space race never ended and Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov eventually becomes the first human to land on the moon.While this outcome devastates morale at NASA, it also pushes the American space program to catch up. Moving on from the early days of space exploratio­n, Season 3 moves into the 1990s as the world’s space programs set their sights on a new goal: Mars. While the United States and the Soviet Union go head-to-head, an unexpected new entrant into the race to Mars drives the stakes even higher. Created by Ronald D.
