People refusing to protect themselves — or others

-

Roll back the opening! Did the Governor open too soon? No, he didn't. In my observations around town, the majority of people were not wearing masks. I hear them say “advice is all over the map.” Not true, The CDC, Mayo Clinic, The Lancet to name three all did their own studies, and all found that cloth masks reduced transmission significantly. I couldn't find any studies to contradict them.

The nonsense spouted by politicians, religious sources and “celebrities,” is not advice, it's political propaganda. I can't think of a better example of people acting against their own interest, or a better example of how that affects the rest of us. Because these people refused to protect themselves or anyone else, we all have to suffer. More small businesses will be pushed closer to failure, some vulnerable people may die; but you know what, they don't care. They do as their cult leaders tell them. Yet politicians, and some citizens, seem to respect their actions as if they have some “right” to let their stupidity hurt others. By tolerating theses people in a civilized society, we are complicit with their actions. Right now, they're controlling our lives. Only we can change that.
