Fun with numbers and ‘Secret Societies’

I just re-read a Time special edition titled “Secret Societies” (2010). Why would some people be attracted to some of these leaders, from Aliester Crowley, Jim Jones, even David Koresh, to Marshall Applewhite? What is the meaning of displaying something upside down? Is it a similar kind of persuasion that could get to some of the voters we may see in November? For the numerologists: Could 11/3/2020 mean 86 to 45?
