Vote Biden/Harris, support local education

-

When the RNConvention’s first speaker (on C-Span/complete coverage, no analysis) denigrated our public schools and teachers I watched in horror how the propaganda and false accusations took center stage. It gave me chills to think of four more years of the incompetent, right-wing nut, who contributed millions to Trump campaign, Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos whose main goal is to tear apart our “socialist government: schools. Or Melania’s “Be Best: program? Never heard of it? Besides the splashy roll out, nobody else has either.

How about a pay raise suggested by Ivanka early on and never transpired after the cameras turned off. How about help with the complete chaos of opening/closing of schools during pandemic? Thank your local school teachers (yeaaah Chico and Natalia and Vanessa and millions across US) for quickly adapting to strategies of teaching on Zoom and striving to give students the best education because they care. Teachers are dedicated, resourceful, and smart with low wages, long hours, and work with many poverty stricken and ‘un’riched families. It’s demoralizing to be painted with such a broad brush of negativity and invalidity. With slashed budgets these more than essential workers need strong leadership that provides the right direction for all of society and civilization to feel safe, secure and able to prosper.

Vote Biden/Harris Nov. 3; write a letter, phone a friend, put a sign out, wear a hat or button! Spread the word. Let others know howmuch you value public school teachers, education and quality in leadership.
