Where to find food assistance this week
Each day of the week through Oct. 24, there will be food assistance available in at least one location in Butte County and Glenn County, organized by Community Action Agency of Butte County.
At each event, food supplies will be offered to an individual showing identification and proof of residency and all supplies are subject to change. Locations and hours are always subject to change.
Butte County
Tuesday
North State Food Bank will hand out food 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church at 6500 Clark Road in Paradise and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Pines Hardware at 11300 Miller Flat Road in Concow.
Chico Community Food Locker begins 9 a.m. to noon 1386 LongfellowAve. in Chico. Chico RescueMission opens 10 to 11 a.m. at 2612 The Esplanade and Chico
Salvation Army 1 to 3 p.m. at 567East 16St., both inChico.
Oroville Salvation Army opens 9 a.m. to noon and again 1 to 3 p.m. at 1640 Washington Ave. in Oroville.
An additional distribution inGridley takesplace9:30 to 11 a.m. 1561Hazel St., at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
Wednesday
Chico’s Salvation Army will distribute 1 to 3 p.m. at 567 East 16th St. in Chico.
Chico Community Food Locker begins 9 a.m. to noon at 1386 Longfellow Ave. in Chico.
Oroville Salvation Army opens 9 a.m. to noon and again 1 to 3 p.m. at 1640 Washington Ave. in Oroville.
Grace Lutheran Church will start handing out food at 9 a.m. until noon at 150 Ford Ave. in Gridley. Also in Gridley that morning, food will be distributed 9:30 a.m. — 11 a.m. 1561 Hazel Street, at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
The North State Food Bank will organize several tailgate distributions to take place at the following locations:
• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 13700 Skyway in Magalia
• 9 to 10 a.m. 7419 Oro Bangor Highway in Bangor
• 9 to 11 a.m. 17044 Old Skyway in Stirling City
• 9 to 11 a.m. 1834 Lumpkin Road in Feather Falls
• 10 a.m. to noon 19100 New York Flats Road, Forbestown Market Community Center in Forbestown.
• 9 to 10 a.m. 2094 Palermo Road in Palermo

Orland Food Pantry distributes 10 a.m. to noon at 19 Colusa St. in Orland. In Willows, Willows Food Bank opens 9 to 11 a.m. at 545 First Ave.
Wednesday
The Orland Food Pantry distributes 3 to 5 p.m. at 19 Colusa St. in Orland.
Thursday
AUSDAFood Distribution begins noon to 1 p.m. at 112 North Yolo St. inWillows.
Friday
A USDA Food Distribution takes place 9 a.m. — 11 a.m. at 19 Colusa Street in Orland
Saturday
A USDA Food Distribution begins 8 to 11 a.m. at 490 Los Robles in Hamilton City.
