Trump’s poor response to coronavirus pandemic

Here are a few facts we have learned about the Federal Government response to the presence of the Corona 19 virus in our country. The Obama Administration had formed a task force to deal with a pandemic should one occur. The Trump Administration disbanded the task force. The Obama Administration left a written protocol or guidebook for the incoming administration. It was discarded.

We were told the virus was only one person. We were told it was only a few people and would magically disappear. We were told it was a hoax nothing more than the flu. We were shown that mask wearing was not a masculine thing to do. Real men don’t need masks.

The federal government failed to establish standards and protocols for a unified response to the pandemic. We were told it would be left to the individual states to determine what is best for their citizens. A sort of reversion to a confederate way of thinking. Instead of one nation we had 50 different approaches. And hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens died and are dying at alarming rates.

Our national leadership is playing golf and staging one pity party after another while actually conducting virus spreading events. The virus spreads through their midst because of their lack of proper vigilance.

This all helps explain why we are the 24th most populated country and fourth in the number of deaths caused by the virus.
