More of the same from Trump haters A whole new way of keeping score

-

The anti-Trump letter writers as well as Trump hating columnists seem to have found a new flavor of venom to spew. They accuse people who prefer a market driven society and freedom, over socialism and government control, as science deniers. They now even call them “Flat Earthers” to go along with “Climate Change Deniers.” As a barber, I’ve had conversations with hundreds of Trump haters as well as Trump tolerators. Not a single one, from either side, has been a “Flat Earther” or a “Climate Change Denier.” Who do they think they are fooling?

Cleveland coach Paul Brown said, “When you win, say nothing. When you lose, say less.” He could not have imagined the loser’s colossal whining we now hear from the White House. When the game was over, you shook hands and had a beer. Now, you say, “The score is wrong,” even though both sides were in on the scorekeeping. Welcome to Trump Cuckooland, where 45 aces every hole and the Jets are 14- 0.

Now, Fox continues another Trump tradition: assaulting women. Echoing a condescending Joseph Epstein, Tucker Carlson ranted through a smear of Jill Biden’s commitment to education by railing about her doctorate and her use of the title, at the same time continuing 45’s attack on knowledge. If you know everything, as 45 claims, why bother with school? Just inherit a pile of money from your father. Besides, the virus will go away, and coal will come back.

With an astounding application of the double standard, Republicans used racist cliches about Harvard JD Michelle Obama while complaining about her bare shoulders, but they remained silent on the nudie shots of Melania Trump on the Net. So, beware, Dr. Biden. The new Axis Powers — Limbaugh, Hannity, and

Carlson — are welcoming back 1957. Jim Crow walks Main Street, June Cleaver’s pearls ornament her kitchen, and for the evangelicals, “The first shall be made last.”
