The outbreak of COVID-19 has rapidly changed everyday life in Butte County. It is a quick-moving situation in which it is important to stay informed. This is a list of basic information and resources. It will be updated.

By the numbers (through Friday)
Butte County: 9,544 confirmed cases (increase of 69 from Thursday), 1,303 probable cases with 8,952 recoveries, 51 hospitalized, 134 deaths (increase of four from Thursday). 146,791 total tests.
Glenn County: 1,904 confirmed cases (no update since Thursday), 406 probable cases with 1,922 recoveries, 18 hospitalized, 20 deaths. 13,829 total tests.
Tehama County: 4,408 confirmed cases (increase of 68 from Thursday) with 2,380 recoveries, 17 hospitalized, 44 deaths. 25,078 total tests.
Vaccine information
Butte County Public Health is currently in Phase 1B, Tier 1, of vaccine distribution, which includes essential emergency services and education workers. People 75 years of age and older are also in this tier. Individuals and businesses are invited to register at www.buttecounty.net/ph/COVID19/vaccineClinics. Once determined eligible to receive a vaccination, individuals will be contacted by invitation to get vaccinated at a clinic.

Pleasant Valley High: 44 total (38 students, six staff members).
Fair View High: Three total (three students).
Oakdale: Three total (one student, one staff member, one online student).
Oak Bridge Academy (K12): Two total (two online students).
Bidwell Junior High: 19 total (12 students, six staff members, one online student). Chico Junior High: 10 total (seven students, two staff members, one online student). Marsh Junior High: 20 total (13 students, six staff members, one online student). Chapman Elementary: Nine total (five students, four staff members). Citrus Elementary: Four total (two students, two staff members). Emma Wilson Elementary: 11 total (six students, five staff members). Hooker Oak Elementary: Six total (four students, one staff member, one online student).
Little Chico Creek Elementary: Three total (two students, one staff member).
Marigold/Loma Vista: 10 total (six students, three staff members, one online student).
McManus Elementary: Two total (one student, one staff member).
Neal Dow Elementary: Five total (one student, four staff members).
Parkview Elementary: Five total (one student, two staff members, two online students).
Rosedale Elementary: 16 total (five students, five staff members, six online students).

Residents in Butte, Glenn, Shasta and Tehama counties can dial 2-1-1 anytime to get information on the crisis and get connected to resources as they become available. Residents in those counties, along with Lassen, Siskiyou and Trinity, can also receive information by texting CORONAVIRUS to 211-211.
