‘Recall’ is the latest destructive pandemic

-

The latest “pandemic” is now festering in our midst. It’s known as the divisive “Recall” ailment. It usually starts festering when a decision is made that someone doesn’t agree with. The knee jerk reaction is to “throw the bums out.” The expectation being that, that will fix everything.

\At this point it seems that the “Recall Pandemic” is rampant throughout the country. In the north state it is festering in our communities with a divisive surge preventing us from working together to reach common solutions and goals. It’s dividing communities, families, friends and even our children and to what end? Historically, few if any recalls end in viable solutions. Like most pandemics they only leave a path of hurt and divisiveness solving nothing. Those who replace the “recalled” seldom have “all the right answers” either.

In the midst of everything else that our communities and society is dealing with it just seems that our energies, efforts and dollars could best be spent on more productive and positive actions to unite rather than to divide.

During this time, I believe most people in leadership roles are trying their best to do their best for the “good of the people.” With the challenges they face it would be much easier to “throw in the towel” and move on, but that’s not why they chose to serve. Moreover, this pandemic was not of their choosing, but something we must all resolve together.
