Stuart Hall departed this life on March 23, 2021 at the refined age of 94. He was born in the small town of Rio Linda, California on September 18, 1926. His parents were Delbert and Pearl Hall. Stuart graduated high school in Rio Linda and joined the US Marine Corp during World War 2 at the age of 17. He was a Gunnery Sergeant during his 3 years in the Marines. When Stuart finished the Marine Corp he immediatel­y went to work for Pacific Bell/AT&T as a Lineman. He traveled and set up camps with his crews from Oregon down to Mexico installing telephone lines. During his camp travels he was stationed to work in Red Bluff, California. He met Zellma Bloxham and they married June 6, 1948. They proceeded to have 2 daughters Beverly Londo (Joe) and Marcie Baugher (Chris). In 1951, Stuart was transferre­d to Redding, CA and continued his career with Pacific Bell/AT&T until he retired at 55 years of age. On March 23, 1973 Stuart married Dolores Hammon and welcomed three step children into his family, Cheryl Lynn (Joe), Dana Hammon (Julia) and Donald Hammon (Lina). Together they had 16 grandchild­ren and 22 great grandchild­ren. Stuart was an avid outdoorsma­n, with an emphasis on hunting and fishing his entire life. Stuart and Delores enjoyed traveling and had many adventures in Alaska after retirement. Stuart was a fishing guide on the Kenai River and took pride being a guide. During the winter months they would travel to Lake Havasu, Arizona where Stuart would go fishing and “social hour” was promptly at 4 pm every day with Delores and friends. Stuart enjoyed traveling to hunt caribou, antelope, deer, mountain sheep in California, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and Canada. Stuart and Delores home base was in Prospect, Oregon where they lived for many years. In their later years they moved to Orland, California in 2015 to be closer to their daughter Marcie and family. The love of Stuarts life passed on April 26, 2018. On March 23, 2021 Stuart passed to be with Delores on their 48th wedding anniversar­y. There will be a private family graveside ceremony due to COVID precaution­s.
