Kindness, and a fantastic medical center

-

I’m 40 miles from Chico on the edge of the Coast Range Mountains. I worked in Chico for a fantastic company, Chico Electric. Norm Nielsen, the owner, impresses me with his love and care for Chico. He is not one to brag on himself so I will. In every project I’m aware of, Norm makes it clear that the customer is to be satisfied by the quality of the work and the fairness of the contract. My fellow employees were a pleasure to work with also. I left because of an injury sustained at home or I would still be happy to be there.

To continue, the vendors and customers I dealt with in Chico were also a pleasure with which to work. I also, often took my lunch break at various Chico eateries and overall was always pleased.

Also the generosity poured out by the people of Chico to the people of Paradise during and after the Camp Fire is something that gives me a lot of respect for those responsible.

Finally, since 2016, I have had 3 surgeries at Enloe Medical Center. The nurses, doctors, the housekeeping staff, and the business office were courteous, professional, caring, informative, and friendly. They are awesome people.

And my final finally, I have brought a friend to Enloe ER several times.

The man is up in years and pretty set in his ways, including telling unrelated stories instead of answering the doctor’s questions. I cringed at some of these incidents. To my surprise and admiration in each case the ER doctors were patient and kind, in spite of the tremendous patient load in the ER.

I think Chico can be proud of her citizens.
