Donna was born December 4, 1939, in Oroville California to Willard and Catharine Stafford. She attended Bird Street Grammar School and graduated from Oroville High School in 1957. She continued her studies at Yuba College where she met her future husband, Rodney. They were married then moved to Chico and started their family. In1965 after having 3 Children they moved into their forever home in Durham.

Her love for her community kept Donna very busy. She was involved in Durham Jr and Sr Women’s club, serving as President in 1969, California Farm Bureau 1974, Chico Chamber of Commerce, Easter Seals, Durham 4-H, Durham Sports Boosters, as well as helping to plan numerous Reunions for the Class of 1957.

Donna began her working career at Oroville Title and though the years

held positions at Mid Valley Title, Butte County Health Department and Dr. Julian Lorenzo office. She began working at Bidwell Title and Escrow in 1989. It was here that Donna felt she met her second family.

LaDonna Joyner, her family, as well as numerous co-workers, gave her

many years of love and support. Donna retired from Bidwell Title in 2011, after more than 20 years of service.

Donna’s hobbies included shopping, traveling and an occasional one day trips to Reno. Although she never had grandchildren, she enjoyed all her children’s fur babies. Even hosting Birthday parties for them. She will be remembered for having had a large and caring heart, she treated everyone she met as a friend, always sending a card, note or gift for their special occasions.

Donna is survived by her three daughters: Lyn, Gail (Phil) and Sandy

(Brent). Sisters Bonnie Litton and Sharon McGrarr of Oroville. Brother Gary Stafford of Massachusetts and beloved Aunt Margie Banes of Oroville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Rodney, parents Willard

and Catharine Stafford, and brothers Ronald and Calvin.

Throughout her life our mother had many friends that she held dear to her heart and loved spending time with. At the top of that list was Gayle Brawley and Barbara German. We are so thankful that for more than 50 years, she had two wonderful neighbors (that she considered sisters) who continued spending time with their friend and gave support and compassion during her long illness.

Memorial services will be held at NewtonBracewell Funeral Home, 680

Camellia Way, Chico CA. November 17, 2021, at 10:00 am.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our sister

Gail (Phil) for being our mother’s main caretakers (for over 10 years). Allowing her to be able to remain at home where she wanted to be.
