Vote Lucero for fulltime representation
Butte County constituents deserve representatives who can give full-time attention to our many, complicated issues. Supervisors Lucero and Ritter have proven they can do this. They are never “off the clock” and are concerned about the quality of life for all county residents. It is true that some issues have been controversial, but hard questions about difficult topics need discussion, and these women aren’t afraid to address these concerns even though questioning isn’t always welcome. They want citizens to understand how decisions are made, how monies flow, and who benefits.
Lucero wants the supervisors’ role to be more professional; not a part-time job. To this end, she has educated herself by attending national leadership trainings paid for by her or with scholarships, NOT, as accused of last week, at taxpayer’s expense. In contrast, Mr. Durfee will work full time as a police officer and part -time as a supervisor. Our issues are numerous and too important for a part-time commitment. In the latest edition of the CN&R, all district candidates responded to six questions except Mr. Durfee. What? No time? No interest? No platform?
Supervisors Lucero and Ritter love the work because they genuinely care about Butte County and its people. No other candidate is more knowledgeable, more prepared, more responsive, or more actively involved in public service than this duo. As the E-R editorial board so aptly stated … they have proven themselves and deserve your vote.
