Saving fetuses while the children are killed

-

With an urgency mostly foreign to legislative action, we have witnessed 29 states rush through legislation protecting the sacred unborn child. It’s been a mad rush to save the fetus. Once born, however, the child becomes secondary to the needs of the gun lobbyists who continually fill the campaign coffers of their whores in congress, those craven, powerhungry misfits who do whatever necessary to keep alive the manufacturing of target pistols and weapons of war, for sale to anyone with the money.

Should children be gunned down in a senseless act of lunacy, there will be thoughts and prayers to console the shattered lives of their parents, moments of silence to keep the general public numb to the horror, molding it into “normal everyday life in America”.

Following the murder of 19 children and two of their teachers, Texas Governor Abbott declared, “It’s a mental health issue”; hollow words from someone who recently cut $211 million form the state’s department that oversees mental health programs. “Locked doors, armed guards, and teachers with guns” decried Ted Cruz, a lead attacker of those very teachers accused of “grooming” our children.

The NRA displayed their usual callousness by electing to go forth with their annual “Gun Celebration” three days after the bloodshed, one speaker being the former Criminal-in-Chief, who called gun protests “grotesque,” which was simply a self-description of his overall existence.

The hypocrisy of the spineless Republican politicians is unashamed. The shattered and disfigured bodies of dead children is of no consequence.
