Heidi Banse, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, is an assistant professor of equine medicine at Louisiana

State University. She earned her Bachelor of Science and veterinary degrees at Washington State

University and her doctorate at Oklahoma State University. A Diplomate of the American College of the Veterinary Internal Medicine (Large Animal), Banse specialize­s in equine endocrinol­ogy and pharmacolo­gy.

Martin Furr, DVM, PhD, DACVIM is head of the Department of Physiologi­cal Sciences at Oklahoma State University. He earned his veterinary degree from Oklahoma State University in 1986. Furr later completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Virginia Tech Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center and received his PhD in Neuroimmun­ology from the University of Maryland in 2000. His research interests include equine neonatal medicine and critical care, equine neurology (particular­ly equine protozoal myeloencep­halitis), equine immunology, faculty developmen­t and medical education.

Harold Schott,, DVM, PHD, DACVIM, is professor of large animal clinical sciences at

Michigan State University. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University, he received his veterinary degree from The Ohio State University and his doctorate from Washington State University. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine.

Olivia Schroeder, VMD, DABVP practices at Northwest Equine Veterinary Associates in Black Diamond, Washington. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvan­ia School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, and later completed a residency in Equine Field Service and Sports Medicine at the University of Pennsylvan­ia’s New Bolton Center. She is board-certified in equine practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practition­ers and is a member of the Internatio­nal Society of Equine Locomotor Pathology.
